On 13 Nov 08 Sgt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriff
Travaglio responded to an active domestic dispute at the residence
of Christy Hurst, age 30, 6550 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell.
Prior to the arrival of the Deputies, Mrs. Hurst’s husband,
Tanner W. Hurst, age 30, 100 Theis Avenue, Marietta, fled but
was located and stopped as he traveled southbound on Highland
Ridge Road. At the scene of the incident Mrs. Hurst said that
she and her husband recently separated and argued briefly about
their children. Mrs. Hurst stated she was about to remove her
year old son from her husband’s truck when he grabbed
her by the wrists and shoved her several times against his
truck. Mr. Hurst conceded that physical contact occurred during
the dispute but said he only stepped in front of his wife when
she attempted to open the truck door. Confirming Mrs. Hurst’s
account with a witness, Deputy Travaglio arrested Mr. Hurst
for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Tanner Wayne Hurst, age 30, 100 Theis Avenue,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hurst was arrested
on Highland Ridge Road by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 13 Nov 08 at 12:00 pm.
Kevin Robert Bartlett, age 43, 204 Tennis Center Drive Apt.
9, Marietta, for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor. Bartlett
was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
