On 7 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
a summons for a fourteen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The juvenile’s father
reported his daughter had permission to visit her grandfather
but left his residence with three other individuals without
permission. The teenager later phoned from her mother’s
home and her father agreed to let her remain there.
On 7 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to James E. Cottrill, age 34, 3085 State Route 26,
Marietta, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally
stopped Mr. Cottrill for speeding on State Route 7 near State
Route 339 in Belpre Township.
On 7 Nov 08 Ruth Radabaugh, age 66, 1450 Deming
Road, Fleming, reported a family member removed property from
her farm without permission. Ms. Radabaugh stated the family
member agreed to remove some items, sell them as scrap and
to split the proceeds with her but was specifically told not
to take a machine press, an antique tractor and hay rake. This
case remains under investigation (1106).
On 7 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson was dispatched
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 420 Strecker Lane, Marietta.
Interviewing the complainant, Sharon Davisson, age 59, Deputy
Anderson determined the incident was only a heated argument
and no threat or violence occurred.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Brian T. Sawyer, age 29, 809 Fifth Street,
Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum of $902.20.
Donna Oliver, age 50, 323 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for failing
to appear at a Debtor’s Exam on 17 Oct 08.
Marty L. Bass, age 39, 702 Franklin Avenue, Belpre, for failing
to appear for pretrial on 24 Oct 08.
The following individual
wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jeffrey Allen Braun, age 21, 515 Goose Run
Road, Marietta, for operating a vehicle with an expired license
and for failure to signal, both misdemeanors. Braun was arrested
on Douglas Avenue by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 08 at 3:38 pm.
