On 6 Nov 08 an employee of the Washington
County Board of Elections reported four rubber mats used for
wheelchair accessibility at the Palmer Township building at
7153 State Route 676, Waterford, were stolen sometime between
8:30 pm on 4 Nov and 10 am on 5 Nov. This case remains under
investigation (508, 1293).
On 6 Nov 08 Curtis E. McGregor, age 56, 115
Holiday Drive, Marietta, reported when he reviewed the bank
statement for his business he noticed debits totaling $723.18
from three checks he did not write. Mr. McGregor said the transactions
all took place during October and he believes only those three
checks are missing. This case remains under investigation (508,
1293).
On 6 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested
Jessica L. Mantz, age 30, 319 Seventh Street, Marietta, for
driving under a suspended license and for driving outside the
marked lanes of travel. Stopped on State Route 7 near State
Route 550, Ms. Mantz had an odor of alcohol but tested under
.08 BAC when transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Fannie Louise Drummond, age 65, Route 25 Box
136, Mount Clare, WV, for failing to reinstate her operator’s
license and for following another vehicle too closely, both
misdemeanors. Drummond was arrested on Interstate 77 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 Nov 08 at 4:50 pm.
Billy Joe Davis, age 23, 19 High Street, Vincent, for failure
to appear and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors. Davis was arrested on School
House Road by Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 6 Nov 08 at 5:40 pm.
Jessica Lynn Mantz, age 30, 319 Seventh Street, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license and for driving outside
the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Mantz was arrested
on Second Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Nov 08 at
11:54 pm.
