On 2 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins investigated
a report of a person sitting in a vehicle and blowing the horn.
Locating the vehicle, Deputy Mankins observed Kelly J. Hendershot,
age 33, 5285 Buchanan Road, Waterford, passed out in the driver’s
seat and three open beer cans in the car. Heavily slurring
her speech, Ms. Hendershot said she was drinking beer in her
car while she spoke to her daughter on the phone and the horn
started blaring for no reason. Since the keys were in the ignition,
Deputy Mankins arrested Ms. Hendershot for being in physical
control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Also charged with consuming alcohol in a vehicle, Ms. Hendershot
tested .226 BAC when transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 2 Nov 08 the owner of Smitty’s Pizza,
29 Starlite Drive, Marietta, reported sometime between 3:30
am and 10:00 am an unknown suspect(s) enter the pizza shop
by removing a window air conditioner. The owner said nothing
appears missing and that she takes the money when she closes
the shop. This case remains under investigation (500).
On 2 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Simmons was dispatched
to 34077 State Route 7, Newport, after receiving a report that
an intoxicated male was threatening to harm himself. One of
the home’s residents stated she and her live-in boyfriend
George E. Dalton Jr., age 41, had been consuming alcohol and
she expressed her desire to end their relationship. She said
that Mr. Dalton retrieved a shotgun and walked outside. Interviewed
at the home, Mr. Dalton admitted he had been drinking and that
he walked outside with the shotgun. Mr. Dalton said he had
no desire to harm himself and he later unloaded the weapon
and put it in its storage place. In consequence, Deputy Simmons
arrested Mr. Dalton for handling a weapon while intoxicated
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kelly Jean Hendershot, age 33, 5285 Buchanan Road, Waterford,
for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the
influence of alcohol and for consuming alcohol in a vehicle,
both misdemeanors. Hendershot was arrested in Belpre by Deputy
Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 2 Nov 08 at 1:25 am.
William C. Yaegel III, age 21, 2008 Wood Meadow, Independence,
KY, for OVI and for operating a vehicle with an expired license,
both misdemeanors. Yaegel was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 Nov 08 at 1:35 am.
Brian Keith Hitchcock, age 29, 134 Muskingum Drive, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Hitchcock was arrested on Second Street
by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 08 at
1:55 am.
William Bruce Wilson, age 19, 1135 Cisler Drive, Marietta,
for failure to appear and for criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors.
Wilson was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov
08 at 2:37 am.
George Edwin Dalton Jr., age 41, 34077 State Route 7, Newport,
for using a weapon while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Dalton
was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Brockmeier of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 2 Nov 08 at 6:03 am.
Darlene Denice Britton, age 38, 100 Sacra Via, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Britton
was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 Nov 08 at 9:16 am.
Kevin Vidal Gaines, age 26, 2588 S. Belvoir Boulevard, University
Heights, OH, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Gaines was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 08 at
10:37 am.
Angel Beth Jackson, age 26, Marietta, for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for violating
the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Jackson was
arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 08 at 8:04 pm.
Pamela Jeanne Kirk, age 43, 565 Cedar Grove Road, Belpre,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Kirk
was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Clevenger of the Belpre
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 Nov 08 at 10:26 pm.
Jeffrey Dean Worstell, age 24, 1042 Culver Run Road, Waterford,
for domestic violence and for violating the terms of his probation,
both misdemeanors. Worstell was arrested at his residence by
Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 Nov 08 at 10:55 pm.
