On 1 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Richards issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Roger L. Leasure, age 53, 180 Mitchell Drive, Newport, for disorderly conduct. Earlier in the day a fifty-two year old Newport resident reported Mr. Leasure cursed at him at threatened him when they encountered each other at the Newport post office. Mr. Leasure admitted using foul language but denied making any threatening comment.

On 1 Nov 08 Stephanie Wright, age 24, 125 Millers Lane Apt. C2, Marietta, reported while she was away from her home for several hours that evening an unknown suspect threw hammer through the back window of her apartment. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 1 Nov 08 Nichoale Shaulis, age 22, 1035 Woodland Avenue, Beverly, reported being assaulted by her live-in boyfriend Jeffrey D. Worstell, age 24. Upset that she came home late the previous evening; Ms. Shaulis said Mr. Worstell slapped her across the face and later choked her when she tried grabbing his hand. Not immediately able to locate Mr. Worstell, Deputy Sheriff Norman arrested Mr. Worstell the following day for domestic violence.
