On 31 Oct 08 Robert Vernon, age 52, 375 Bethel
Road, Marietta, reported at some point during the past ten
days an unknown suspect(s) kicked in the door of a garage on
his property. Though the building was entered, Mr. Vernon stated
he does not believe anything is missing. This case remains
under investigation (508, 1293).
On 31 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a minor misdemeanor citation to Patrick C. Moreau, age 19,
2464 Laurel Cove Drive, Virginia Beach, VA, for possession
of marijuana. Stopped for following another vehicle too closely,
Mr. Moreau revealed marijuana joints and a small bag of marijuana
when he was informed a canine sniff was going to be performed
outside his vehicle.
On 31 Oct 08 Kyla L. McConnell, age 19, 103
Oak Drive, Little Hocking, reported a set of keys, medical
reports and a credit card invoice were stolen from her unlocked
vehicle parked outside her residence between 1:30 and 2:30
that afternoon. This case remains under investigation (805).
On 31 Oct 08 Misty D. Hinton, age 18, 400
Bethel Road, Marietta, reported she was traveling on Whealdon
Road when a woman alongside the roadway threw an object and
cracked her windshield. Questioned about the incident, the
suspect said she threw a cup at the passing vehicle because
she thought it was traveling too fast and would come too close
to her nearby children. The suspect stated she did not think
she would hit the vehicle and volunteered to pay for the damage.
Ms. Hinton did not want to pursue charges and only wanted her
vehicle repaired (610).
On 31 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriffs Richards and
Smeeks stopped the driver of an SUV for speeding near milepost
one on US 50. Saying they were en route to Ohio University
for Halloween, the occupants were asked to exit the SUV after
Deputy Smeeks’ canine indicated the presence of drugs
in the vehicle. From various locations the Deputies discovered
glass jars containing marijuana, marijuana pipes and rolling
papers. These occupants admitted the contraband belonged to
them and were arrested for possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia: Paul R. Becka, age 22, 1757 Justo Lane,
Seven Hills, OH; Timothy J. Becka, age 22, 17409 Bennett Road,
North Royalton, OH; Kyle A. Caraballo, age 21, 13921 Aspen
Oval, North Royalton, OH.
On 31 Oct 08 an employee of Lang’s Excavating,
19371 State Route 60, Beverly, reported sometime between 17
and 24 Oct 08 a GMC truck was stolen from the business. The
employee said the truck is blue and white with side toolboxes
and a ladder rack. This case remains under investigation (508,
1293).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brandon Joseph Robinette, age 24, 1204 County
House Lane Apt. E, Marietta, for violating the terms of his
parole, a felony. Robinette was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 31 Oct 08 at 9:05 am.
Eric David Yoho, age 21, 1368 Cave Hill Road,
Little Hocking, for possession of drugs, possession of drug
paraphernalia, driving under an FRA suspended license and for
driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors.
Yoho was arrested on State Route 7 in Little Hocking by Deputy
Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 31 Oct 08 at 5:18 pm.
Paul Robert Becka, age 22, 1757 Justo Lane, Seven Hills, OH,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Becka was arrested on US 50 in Belpre by
Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 31 Oct 08 at 6:55 pm.
Timothy John Becka, age 22, 17409 Bennett Road, North Royalton,
OH, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Becka was arrested on US 50 in Belpre by
Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 31 Oct 08 at 6:56 pm.
Kyle Antonio Caraballo, age 21, 13921 Aspen Oval, North Royalton,
OH, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Caraballo was arrested on US 50 in Belpre
by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 31 Oct 08 at 7:07 pm.
