On 30 Oct 08 Glen S. Harshbarger, age 40,
9507 Federal Road, Cutler, reported sometime during the day
of 28 Oct an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and the home
he is building on his property and stole over 100 DVD’s,
four guns, a DVD player, a compound bow, two nailers, a drill
and two skill saws. This case remains under investigation (610).
On 30 Oct 08 Debora Newberry, age 53, 9369
Federal Road, Cutler, reported while she was away from her
home between 5 am and 5 pm an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered
her home through the front door. Once inside the suspect(s)
stole approximately 350 DVD’s, several articles of jewelry
and a fireproof safety box containing important documents.
This case remains under investigation (610).
On 30 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested
Clayton Mayle, age 27, 351 W. State Street, Athens, for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Travaglio
stopped Mr. Mayle for speeding on State Route 7, could smell
raw marijuana and noticed Mr. Mayle was very nervous. Prompted
to search the vehicle after a canine indicated the presence
of drugs, Deputies Travaglio and Smeeks found marijuana with
a total mass of 105 grams.
On 30 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks’ canine
indicated the presence of drugs in a vehicle driven by Johnny
R. Guess Jr., age 25, 22252 Brimstone Road, Coolville. Stopped
for speeding on State Route 7, Mr. Guess along with his passenger
Billy Joe Guess, age 21, same address, appeared nervous. Patted
down for weapons, Johnny was found in possession of a marijuana
pipe. Billy Joe voluntarily relinquished a marijuana pipe and
rolled marijuana joint. Both were arrested for possession of
drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 30 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Jeffrey W. Mosier, age 42, 13363 Parmiter Road,
Amesville, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally
stopped Mr. Mosier for not stopping at the stop sign at the
intersection of Third Street and State Route 339 in Beverly.

for parking in a yellow curb zone in the 100 block of Knox
Street on 1 Jan 08.
Katie Caplinger, age 19, 400 Main Street, Waterford, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the
sum of $325.00.
Ryan M. Danner, age 22, 208 Seventh Street, Beverly, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the
sum of $145.60.
Douglas W. Fouts, age 34, 3106 Williamstown Pike, Williamstown,
for failing to appear for pretrial on 15 Oct 08.
Robert F. Hall, age 28, 1133 Market Street Apt. 208, Parkersburg,
for operating a vehicle without a license on 14 Oct 08.
Joseph R. Hammond, age 28, 292 Hudson Avenue Apt. A, Newark,
OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $587.60.
David M. Hill, age 29, PO Box 16, Trimble, OH, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the
sum of $694.20.
Jessica J. McCann-Prusha, age 33, 1170 Copley Road, Copley,
OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $543.50.
Michael D. Metzler, age 25, 227 Cozy Glen Road, Oak Hill,
OH, for failing to appear for pretrial on 24 Oct 08.
Wayne A. Rhodes, age 19, 820 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, for
failing to appear for pretrial on 24 Oct 08.
Jason B. Whittaker, age 31, 22781 State Route 60, Beverly,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $217.10.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jose Abel Lara-Salinas, age 24, 4126 W. Newport Avenue, Chicago,
IL, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Lara-Salinas
was arrested near milepost seven on Interstate 77 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Oct 08 at 5:16 am.
David Ted Alan Schoonover, age 45, 37245 Marietta Street,
Sardis, OH, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Schoonover
turned himself in to Corrections Officer Sheaves and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 08 at 7:47 am.
Johnny Ray Guess, age 25, 22525 Brimstone
Road, Coolville, for possession of drugs and possession of
drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Guess was arrested in
Little Hocking by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 08 at 5:15 pm.
Clayton Michael Mayle, age 27, 351 State Street, Athens, for
possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for
speeding, all misdemeanors. Mayle was arrested on State Route
339 in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 08 at 10:30 pm.
