On 28 Oct 08 Kelly J. Hendershot, age 33,
5285 Buchanan Road, Waterford, reported being assaulted by
her live-in boyfriend Gary R. Bloss, age 40, 290 Everson Road,
Belpre, on 25 Oct and again on 27 Oct. Ms. Hendershot exhibited
a black eye she said was the result of Mr. Bloss striking her
with an open hand the evening of the 25th. Then on the 27th
Ms. Hendershot stated she was arguing with Mr. Bloss in the
driveway when he grabbed her by the wrists and slammed her
twice into the side of a car. Determining Mr. Bloss’ actions
fit the statute for the crime, Deputy Sheriff Spencer arrested
Mr. Bloss for two counts of domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 28 Oct 08 Detective Rhodes arrested Hayden
R. Barrett, age 32, 12769 Veto Road, Marietta, for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Assisting federal
authorities, Detective Rhodes secured the residence and was
granted permission to search the home by Mr. Barrett. Questioned
by Detective Rhodes about the marijuana he viewed, Mr. Barrett
admitted he smokes marijuana twice a day and revealed the locations
of two bags of marijuana, rolling papers and a marijuana grinder.
On 28 Oct a thirteen year old Coolville resident
reported her seventeen year old sister punched her and pulled
her hair during an argument. The younger sister said she was
in the middle of playing a video game and would not allow her
sister to play until she finished. In retaliation the older
teenager attacked her younger sister. The older sister admitted
striking her sister and commented to her that beating people
is the only way that she can relieve her anger. As a result
of the incident, Sgt. Stackpole requested a summons for the
seventeen year old to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge
of delinquency by domestic violence.
On 28 Oct 08 Wendall Mayle, age 41, 10 Norris
Cemetery Road, Bartlett, reported his daughter is caring for
his animals while he is out of town and when she arrived at
his residence that morning the front door was open. Contacted
by phone, Mr. Mayle said he believes an Xbox, a Playstation,
a window air conditioner and a DVD/VCR were stolen. This case
remains under investigation (1090).
On 28 Oct 08 Sgt. Brockmeier responded to
the scene of a suicide attempt in Waterford. The thirty-three
year old victim, who ingested a pain reliever with codeine,
was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment
by the Beverly-Waterford emergency squad.
On 28 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
a warrant for Zachariah W. Ladeaux, age 21, 1230 Warren Chapel
Road, Fleming, for domestic violence. Deputy Anderson’s
affidavit alleges while at Veto Lake on the afternoon of 27
Oct that Mr. Ladeaux was involved in a confrontation with his
estranged wife Crystal G. Eldridge, age 28, 840 Pike Street
Apt. 39, Marietta. During the dispute over money for a utility
bill Mr. Ladeaux pulled his wife’s hair and struck his
wife twice in the back of the head.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Bryce Allen Honaker, age 21, 50074 State Route 681, Tuppers
Plains, for .08 breath OVI and for driving outside the marked
lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Honaker was arrested on
State Route 7 in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Oct 08 at 3:00
am.
Gary Ronald Bloss Jr., age 40, 290 Everson Road, Belpre, for
two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Bloss was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 28 Oct 08 at 3:12 am.
Hayden Rhodes Barrett, age 32, 12769 Veto
Road, Marietta, for possession of drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Barnett was arrested at Catfisherman’s
Paradise by Detective Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28
Oct 08 at 11:05 am.
Jeffrey Alan Theiss, age 30, 319 Seventh Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Theiss was arrested at his residence
by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Oct 08
at 6:45 pm.
Sherman Dewayne Holder Jr., age 24, Marietta, for felonious
assault and for a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at
a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Holder was picked
up in Fayette County by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 Oct 08 at 7:51 pm.
Aaron Freeman Farnsworth, age 23, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested on Franklin Street
by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Oct 08 at 10:48
pm.
Jacob Wells Willis, age 26, 9008 State Route 555, Cutler,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Willis
was picked up at the Noble County line by Deputy Sheriff Norman
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Oct 08
at 11:08 pm.
