On 26 Oct 08 James R. Ritchey, age 45, 85 Forshey Road, Marietta, reported sometime between 5:30 pm on 24 Oct and 5 pm on 26 Oct an unknown suspect damaged the vinyl siding of his business’ garage at 115 Forshey Road. This case remains under investigation (1097).

On 26 Oct 08 Amanda S. Berentz, age 28, 724 Main Street, New Matamoras, reported she was assaulted at the Grandview Tavern that evening. Mrs. Berentz said there is animosity between the male suspect and herself and that she was attacked without provocation. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 26 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck issued a citation to Charles C. Carpenter Jr., age 24, 403 Wirt Street, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Hornbeck stopped Mr. Carpenter near milepost five on State Route 555 in Decatur Township.

On 26 Oct 08 Ashley McNabb, age 24, 3565 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, reported she was involved in an argument with her live-in boyfriend Aaron E. Miller, age 26, and Mr. Miller would not allow her to leave their residence. Ms. McNabb said she entered her vehicle and was about to back out of her driveway when Mr. Miller placed a log behind her car. Mr. Miller proceeded as well to stand in front of Ms. McNabb’s vehicle and later opened the driver’s side door in an attempt to keep Ms. McNabb from leaving. Finally able to push her boyfriend away from her car, Ms. McNabb escaped by driving forward through the front yard of the residence. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff Richards, Mr. Miller said he did not want Ms. McNabb to leave because he loved her and wanted to talk and resolve their problems. For his actions Mr. Miller was arrested for unlawful restraint and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joshua Daniel Morrison, age 25, 4948 Beersheba Highway, McMinnville, TN, for driving under a suspended license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Morrison was arrested near milepost three on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 08 at 10:05 am.

Aaron Eugene Miller, age 26, 3565 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, for unlawful restraint, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested at 18155 State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff Richards and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 08 at 3:50 pm.

Steven Douglas Fulton, age 55, 207 Curtis Avenue, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Fulton was arrested on Quarry Street by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 08 at 4:35 pm.

Leslie Nicole Pyle, age 21, 215 Fifth Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Pyle was arrested on the campus of Marietta College by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 08 at 6:35 pm.
