On 24 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 18001 State Route 676,
Marietta. Jason T. Mace, age 25, said he was watching a movie
and drinking beer with his brother Graham, age 23, when Graham
became more and more agitated. Out of nowhere Graham started
talking to himself and jumped on top of Jason, who was seated
in a chair. Graham landed several blows to his brother’s
head before being restrained by other family members. For his
actions Graham Mace was arrested for domestic violence and
transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 24 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio requested
a summons for Rebecca L. Sergent, age 18, 1320 Caywood Road,
Marietta, for theft. Ms. Sergent allegedly stole a cassette
tape from a tape recorder at an acquaintance’s residence
on 1 Aug 08.
On 24 Oct 08 an employee of Summers Pontiac,
1000 Pike Street, Marietta, reported a dealer’s license
plate was stolen off a vehicle parked in the rear of the lot
sometime between 6 pm on 16 Oct and 4 pm on 17 Oct. This case
remains under investigation (1106).
On 24 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio requested
summonses for Jodie D. Miller, age 25, 116 Bailey Drive, Marietta,
for theft and for aggravated menacing. Deputy Travaglio’s
affidavit alleges Ms. Miller stole $120 from a friends purse
and also left several threatening voice messages on her friend’s
cell phone on 22 Oct 08.
On 24 Oct 08 Sandra K. Hall, age 58, 338 Stanley
Mills Road, Little Hocking, reported her wallet was stolen
while she left her purse unattended following services at the
Little Hocking Church of Christ on 19 Oct. This case remains
under investigation (610).
On 24 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested
Courtney D. Alden, age 28, 708 Ohio Avenue, Belpre, for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Alden was
visibly nervous when she was stopped for not stopping at a
stop sign when turning from Hadley Lane onto Cisler Lane. A
canine called to the scene indicated the presence of drugs
in the vehicle and the resulting search yielded a small jar
of marijuana. Ms. Alden later revealed two marijuana pipes
she had concealed in her pants.

Parkersburg, for telecommunications harassment on 2 Sep 08.
William Harris, age 28, 1535 Braun Road, Belpre, for failing
to confine/restrain a dog on 30 Sep 08.
Charlene D. Harvey, age 39, PO Box 418, Moundsville, WV, for
a parking violation on 11 Feb 08.
Christopher Ledger, age 18, 7010 State Route 550, Cutler,
for an assault committed on 1 Oct 08.
Ryan D. McFann, age 23, 105 State Route 555 Apt. 5, Little
Hocking, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail
on 5 Oct 08.
Ruby A. Reese, age 29, 3300 State Route 26, Marietta, for
parking more than twelve inches from the curb in the city of
Marietta on 26 Feb 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Zackary Eugene Harmon, age 24, Route 1 Box 147-AA, Ravenswood,
WV, for OVI and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Harmon was
arrested on Greene Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Oct 08
at 3:50 am.
Douglas Alan Wriston, age 25, 693 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wriston
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Oct 08 at 4:26 am.
Graham Thomas Mace, age 23, 18001 State Route 676, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mace was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 24 Oct 08 at 7:30 am.
Donald Eugene Hill, age 64, 217 Bridge Street
Apt. 4B, Caldwell, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Hill was picked up
at the Noble County line by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Oct 08 at 2:25
pm.
Courtney Dawn Alden, age 28, 708 Ohio Avenue, Belpre, for
possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both
misdemeanors. Alden was arrested at Colonial Terrace by Deputy
Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Oct 08 at 3:50 pm.
