On 21 Oct 08 Jarrah R. Huck, age 20, 104 Oakview Lane, Marietta, reported after an argument at her friend’s home she forgot to grab her purse when she left the residence posthaste. Ms. Huck said she phoned to retrieve her purse but her now former friend said she was going to go out and get drunk with the money. Furthermore, Ms. Huck said the suspect has left threatening messages on her cell phone and she is in fear for safety due to the threats. This case remains under investigation (805).

On 21 Oct 08 Julie Stevens, age 73, 2250 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, reported an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered a building on her property sometime this month. Ms. Stevens state nothing appear is missing, that the only items in the building are a 1992 Subaru and an old heat pump. This case remains under investigation (1090).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Darliss Jo Gaskins, age 37, 11 Glenna Street, Newport, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Gaskins was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 08 at 9:05 pm.
