On 11 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio arrested
Joshua A. Stump, age 18, 6752 State Route 554, Bidwell, OH,
and Ryan W. Eggleton, age 18, 14406 State Route 554, Bidwell,
for underage consumption of alcohol and for consuming alcohol
in a vehicle. Both subjects were passengers in a vehicle stopped
on State Route 339 and found in possession of a case of Busch
Light and a bottle of Popov vodka. Stump admitted he was drinking
the beer and Eggleston confessed to drinking the vodka as they
rode in the vehicle.
On 11 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Jason J. Peplin, age 30, 107 Robson Road, Marietta,
for traveling 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Travaglio stopped
Mr. Peplin on State Route 7 near Blue Knob Road in Warren Township.
On 11 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested
Rodney K. Benner, age 45, 14503 Crooked Tree Road, Beverly,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Benner was being questioned by a US Forest Ranger at Haught
Run Campground for operating a vehicle with fictitious tags
and with a suspended license. During an interview with Mr.
Benner, Deputy Travaglio discovered a bag of marijuana on the
ground near Mr. Benner’s feet.
On 11 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Justin M. Anderson, age 18, 850 Ridgewood Boulevard,
Belpre, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally
stopped Mr. Anderson for not using a turn signal when turning
from Washington Street onto Main Street in Belpre.
On 11 Oct 08 Roger D. Wagner, age 56, 241
Germantown Road, Lower Salem, reported while he was sleeping
he believes a female who visited him briefly stole two rifles,
a wristwatch, a set of keys and $15 in change. This case remains
under investigation (1184).
On 11 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio issued
a citation to Susan D. Cunningham, age 23, 11 Mayle Ridge Road,
Cutler, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally
stopped Ms. Cunningham for traveling outside the marked lanes
of travel on State Route 550 in Wesley Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Oliver Travis Barnhart, age 20, 100 Winters
Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Barnhart was arrested at his
residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Oct 08 at 6:25 pm.
Rodney Keith Benner, age 45, 14503 Crooked
Tree Road, Beverly, for possession of drugs and for possession
of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Benner was arrested
in Wayne National Forest by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Oct 08 at 9:19
pm.

consuming alcohol in a vehicle, both misdemeanors. Stump was
arrested on State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Oct 08
at 9:43 pm.
Ryan Wilson Eggleton, age 18, 14406 State
Route 554, Bidwell, OH, for underage consumption of alcohol
and for consuming alcohol in a vehicle, both misdemeanors.
Eggleton was arrested on State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff
K. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 11 Oct 08 at 9:45 pm.
Christopher Scott Holder, age 23, 4755 Waterford
Road, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Holder was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Oct 08 at 9:50 pm.
