On 10 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded
to the scene of an attempted suicide in Lowell. The forty year
old victim was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for
treatment and evaluation.
On 10 Oct 08 Joanna L. Hamrick, age 28, 1016
Gantsville Road, Little Hocking, reported she was about to
depart the Lawnsdale bar at 10:30 pm the previous evening when
she noticed her rental car was missing from the parking lot.
Ms. Hamrick said she allowed her friend Jennifer L. Parrish,
age 27, 87 Riverview Lane, Little Hocking, to borrow the vehicle
earlier that evening and she believed Ms. Parrish took the
vehicle without permission. Questioned after she was found
with the stolen vehicle in Parkersburg, Ms. Parrish admitted
taking the car after Ms. Hamrick denied her repeated requests
for a ride home. In consequence, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested
a warrant for Ms. Parrish for automobile theft.
On 10 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Kathleen R. Costello, age 19, 2561 Sourek Road,
Akron, for traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks
stopped Ms. Costello on State Route 7 near milepost eleven
in Belpre Township.
On 10 Oct 08 an employee of Bartlett Farmers
Bank, 8515 State Route 339, Vincent, reported during a two
day span beginning on 29 Sep a female suspect cashed four checks
at the bank’s braches that written on a closed account.
The complainant said the bank’s total loss due to the
fraudulent transactions is $1,166.48. This case remains under
investigation (610).
On 10 Oct 08 Beatrice R. Richards, age 51,
1936 Barth Road, Belpre, reported while she was a guest of
the county in the Washington County Jail she believes her roommate
stole and cashed her SSI check for the month of October. This
case remains under investigation (200).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brandon Joseph Robinette, age 24, 1201 County
House Lane Apt. E, Marietta, for violating the terms of his
parole, a felony. Robinette was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 08 at 3:15 am.
Larry Eugene Emerick, age 52, 110 Grandview
Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Emerick was arrested at the Four Seasons by
Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Oct 08 at 4:30 pm.
