On 9 Oct 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Shane A. Sevy, age 21, 1386 Tick Ridge Road,
Vincent, for traveling 49 mph in a 20 mph school zone. Deputy
Mankins stopped Mr. Sevy on State Route 550 near Warren Elementary
School in Warren Township.
On 9 Oct 08 a sixteen year old Marietta resident
reported her nineteen year old estranged husband cancelled
her cell phone service, which is a violation of a protection
order she has against him. Interviewed regarding the allegation,
the suspect said the account was in name and he cancelled the
phone service in order to save money to pay court costs stemming
from his recent arrest. Sgt. Alkire forwarded the information
obtained in this case to the Law Director’s Office for
possible charges.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Matthew Hayes Kidd Jr., age 21, 1041 Sixth Street, Devils
Lake, ND, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Kidd was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Arbaugh of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 08 at 2:10 am.
Gurmel Lyman McDonald, age 21, 407 13th Street Apt. C, Parkersburg,
for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
McDonald was arrested at the intersection of Third and Greene
streets in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 08 at 2:25 am.
James Lee Allen, age 55, 1202 Lockwood Street
Apt. C, Belpre, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Allen was
picked up in Massillon, OH by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 08 at
1:01 pm.
Christopher Lee Watson, age 21, 836 Pike Street Apt. 19, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Watson
was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 08 at
2:39 pm.
Louis Roe Cavillis, age 37, 1346 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth
City, NC, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Cavillis was arrested on Fourth
Street in Marietta by Lt. Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct
08 at 6:36 pm.
