On 6 Oct 08 Amanda O’Brien, age 22,
343 Main Street, Lower Salem, reported being involved in a
heated argument with her husband. Mrs. O’Brien said her
husband became very angry and started screaming when she confronted
him about getting a job and supporting their children. Interviewing
witnesses, Deputy Sheriffs Anderson and Carr determined the
incident was only verbal and no threat or act of domestic violence
occurred.
On 6 Oct 08 Kassandra Doak, age 25, 4136 Sparling
Road, Waterford, reported she was dropping off her children
when she was assaulted by Rocky Huck, age 27, 20330 State Route
60, Beverly. Ms. Doak said Mr. Huck is not the father of her
children nor does she live with him. Upset that he noticed
Ms. Doak received text message from another male, Mr. Huck
broke Ms. Doak’s cell phone, slammed her head against
the outside of his trailer and threw her to the ground. Consequently,
Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Mr. Doak for assault and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 6 Oct 08 an employee of G & R Contracting
reported sometime over the weekend a pump jack and a motor
were stolen from a job site on the 700 block of Lindamood Road
in Macksburg. A witness at the scene informed Deputy Sheriff
Mankins that he observed Jack Sloter, age 48, 4372 Dixon Ridge
Road, Lowell, driving a tractor under the interstate bridge
in Macksburg and towing a trailer with a pump jack and motor
in it. Obtaining and executing a search warrant at Mr. Sloter’s
residence, Deputy Mankins recovered the stolen items. Mr. Sloter
provided a receipt alleging he purchased the $5,000 worth of
equipment for $700 but was unable to give details on the individual
who sold him the equipment. As a result, Deputy Mankins arrested
Mr. Sloter for receiving stolen property and transported him
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Eileen Marie Fulton, age 32, 311 Spring Street,
Marietta, for theft, a felony. Fulton turned herself in to
Captain Ketelsen and was processed into the Washington County
Jail on 6 Oct 08 at 3:02 pm.
Rocky Dustin Huck, age 27, 20330 State Route 60, Beverly,
for assault, a misdemeanor. Huck was arrested at his residence
by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 Oct 08 at 6:05 pm.
