On 25 Sep 08 Sgt. Underwood responded to a
911 hang up call at 200 Summers Road, Marietta. At the home
Tammy Hardie, age 38, said she was involved in an argument
with her husband but that her husband left the residence and
there was no longer a problem. Unable to find evidence of anything
criminal, Sgt. Underwood closed this case as unfounded.
On 25 Sep 08 Sharon Handschumacher, age 40,
2685 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, reported her two teenage
daughters returned home after spending time with their father
Roland, age 48, 726 Second Street Apt. B, Marietta, and felt
he was too intoxicated to drive home. Despite having a protection
order against him, Mrs. Handschumacher decided to allow her
husband to sleep on the living room couch. However, Mr. Handschumacher
instigated an argument with his wife about their upcoming divorce,
refused to leave when asked and disconnected Mrs. Handschumacher
phone when she called for help. Mr. Handschumacher absconded
but was later arrested for violating the terms of a protection
order and transported to the Washington County Jail (1293).
On 25 Sep 08 Darlene Walker, age 50, 2836
Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, reported between 2 am and 11 am
that morning approximately fifty feet of scrap wire dug up
from her property was stolen from her yard. This case remains
under investigation (586).
BELPRE MAN ARRESTED FOR SEX WITH THIRTEEN YEAR
OLD
Today Detectives Schuck and Hiatt interviewed a thirteen year
old Waterford resident after receiving a report that she was
sexually involved with Keith J. Lowe, age 19, 1990 State Route
339, Belpre. The juvenile confirmed she engaged in sex with
Lowe a number of times since July of this year. Later questioned
regarding his involvement, Lowe also confirmed having sex with
the teenager. Lowe admitted that he knew the age of the child
and stated he was aware he could get in trouble for his actions.
Following their investigation Detective Schuck arrested Mr.
Lowe for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and transported
him to the Washington County Jail. He is being held without
bond pending his initial court appearance tomorrow afternoon.

Roland D. Handschumacher, age 59, 726 Second
Street Apt. B, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection
order on 25 Sep 08.
Steven D. Fulton, age 55, 207 Curtis Boulevard, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order
to show cause on 5 Sep 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Justin Robert Murphy, age 24, 500 13th Street
Apt. 112, Parkersburg, for operating a vehicle without a license,
for having an expired registration and for having an inoperable
headlight, all misdemeanors. Murphy was arrested on Main Street
by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 08 at 2:19
am.
Keith James Lowe, age 19, 1990 State Route
339, Belpre, for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony.
Lowe was arrested at the Sheriff’s Office by Detective
Schuck and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25
Sep 08 at 2:35 pm.
Joshua Don Martin, age 28, 935 ½ Greene Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Martin was arrested at Dodge Park in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver
of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Sep 08 at 7:11 pm.
Elizabeth Dawn Thompson, age 22, 11240 Northwood Drive Apt.
9, Inglis, FL, for an outstanding warrant for fishing without
a license, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested on State Route
339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 08 at 9:54 pm.
Melissa Jo Flesher, age 34, 2 Bay Pointe Drive, Belpre, for
violating the terms of her parole, a felony. Flesher was arrested
at the Four Seasons by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 25 Sep 08 at 10:55 pm.
