On 22 Sep 08 Deputy Sheriff Eddy issued a
citation to Logan L. Hills, age 29, 631 ½ Seventh Street,
Marietta, for traveling 57 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Eddy
stopped Mr. Hills on State Route 550 near Warren Elementary
in Warren Township.
On 22 Sep 08 Deputy Sheriff Eddy issued a
citation to Tyler Sprigg, age 18, 2495 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent,
for traveling 66 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Eddy stopped
Mr. Sprigg on State Route 550 near Warren Elementary in Warren
Township.
On 22 Sep 08 an employee of Washington Electric
Co-op, Colegate Drive, Marietta, reported the company shut
off the electric and put a lock on the meter at 3275 Highland
Ridge Road in Lowell on 19 Sep because the customer owed $1,200
on his account. Another employee phoned his office on 22 Sep
and said he drove by the home and noticed the lock on the meter
was missing and the electric was reconnected to the residence.
Questioned by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio, the home’s
resident, Robert M. Russell, age 19, stated the day after it
was disconnected he cut the lock off the electric meter and
reconnected it to his home because the food in his home was
spoiling. In consequence, Deputy Travaglio requested a summons
for Mr. Russell for the theft of sixty-seven kilowatt hours
of electricity, the equivalent of roughly $5.
On 22 Sep 08 Steven Barnhart, age 34, 10 Browns
Road Apt. A, Marietta, reported receiving unwanted text messages
from his ex-wife, who has a protection order against him. Further
investigation revealed Mr. Barnhart was using his girlfriend’s
phone and his ex-wife, Robyn Stewart, age 36, 28935 Torch Road,
Coolville, believed she was communicating with her. Additionally,
Ms. Stewart said Mr. Barnhart phoned her two days ago. As a
result of her investigation, Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio requested
a summons for Mr. Barnhart for violating the terms of a protection
order.
On 22 Sep 08 Tonya Landaker, age 32, 4130
Sparling Road, Waterford, reported her husband Adam, age 28,
has threatened her repeatedly over the past three weeks. Mrs.
Landaker said she feared for her safety after her husband commented
that he would cut her into little pieces and spread her out
all over the county. In addition, Mrs. Landaker said her husband
kept her awake overnight, threatening to burn their home. Based
on Mrs. Landaker’s statements, Deputy Sheriff Lockhart
arrested Mr. Landaker for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 22 Sep 08 Eugene F. Heiss, age 52, 14640
Muskingum River Road, Lowell, reported miscellaneous quantities
of copper fittings, copper wire, copper pipe and brass gas
stops have been stolen from in and around his garage over the
past few weeks. This case remains under investigation (712).

in jail on 8 Sep 08.
Edward D. Bailey, age 24, 502 Barclay Street Apt. D, Belpre,
for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 5 Sep 08.
Pamela R. Fellure, age 28, 2500 Bellview Drive Apt. A, Belpre,
for driving under an FRA suspended license and for speeding
on 8 Sep 08.
Jeffrey R. Martin, age 30, 906 17th Street, Parkersburg, for
telecommunications harassment on 16 Sep 08.
Jesse L. Mullins, age 23, 7716 Bancroft Avenue, Cleveland,
for possession of under 100 grams of marijuana on 29 Aug 08.
Franklin D. Tucker, age 23, 804 Front Street, Marietta, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines
in the sum of $523.90.
Jacob W. Willis, age 26, 9008 State Route 555, Cutler, for
disorderly conduct on 7 Sep 08.
James E. Wright, age 41, 665 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre, for
the theft of less than $500 worth of items from a home on Tadpole
Run Road on 13 Sep 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Adam Wayne Landaker, age 28, 4130 Sparling
Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Landaker
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Sep 08 at 9:04
am.
Paul Woodrow Wright, age 37, 1725 Covert Street, Parkersburg,
for robbery, a felony. Wright was picked up at the North Central
Regional Jail by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
22 Sep 08 at 7:06 pm.
Christopher Ray Davis, age 29, 11230 State Route 550, Athens,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Davis was picked up at the Athens County
line by Sgt. Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22
Sep 08 at 10:13 pm.
