On 21 Sep 08 Jon D. Anderson, age 43, 8557 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, reported three checks from a checkbook that were stolen along with his vehicle in the first week of this month were forged and passes at businesses in Little Hocking and Guysville. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 21 Sep 08 Bonnie S. Brant, age 51, 512 Main Street, Belpre, reported being threatened by her soon to be ex-husband. Receiving conflicting statements and observing no injuries, Deputy Sheriff Thorpe will schedule a voice stress analysis to determine the veracity of the statements made by each the involved parties.

On 21 Sep 08 Jayne Nelson, age 49, 908 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, reported she received scratches on her hand during a struggle over car keys with her estranged husband. A witness to the incident confirmed Ms. Nelson’s statement that no threat was made and that she was scratched accidentally. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Thorpe closed this case as unfounded.

On 21 Sep 08 Anthony D. Wilson, age 28, 605 Cutler Street, Marietta, reported an ATV he displayed for sale in the parking lot of Marietta RV was stolen sometime between 5 pm on 19 Sep and 8:45 am on 20 Sep. This case remains under investigation (1106).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Wolfgang Warrner Ewert, age 43, 2006 Dresden Road, Zanesville, for driving under a suspended license and for having fictitious plates, both misdemeanors. Ewert was arrested on State Route 60 in Waterford by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Sep 08 at 2:56 pm.

Donald James Covey, age 34, 300 Alderman Street Apt. 8, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Covey was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hupp of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Sep 08 at 8:29 pm.
