On 18 Sep 08 an employee of Fastenal Inc.,
100 Ellsworth Avenue, Marietta, reported when he arrived at
work that morning a garage door at the business was partially
open. Inspecting the interior of the business, the manager
said the perpetrator(s) removed a padlock from a drawer and
stole a cash box containing over $400. This case remains under
investigation (232).
On 18 Sep 08 Nicole Taggart, age 33, 53 McComis
Drive, Little Hocking, reported she believes an acquaintance
she’s allowed to live with her has stolen a large portion
of her Xanax and Vicodin as well as a digital camera, a memory
card, an mp3 player, a thirteen inch television, her debit
card and several checks. This case remains under investigation
(712).
On 18 Sep 08 Donald Noland, age 64, 76 Old
School Lane, Fleming, reported sometime since he last serviced
his soda machine outside the Reno Motel on 3 Sep, an unknown
suspect(s) opened the machine and removed the change dispenser
and all of the currency. Mr. Noland estimates the loss to be
$80 in lost currency and $100 for the stolen change dispenser.
This case remains under investigation (712).
On 18 Sep 08 Robin Walker, age 43, 628 Fourth
Street, Belpre, reported sometime between 10 am and 12:30 pm
on 13 Sep an unknown suspect(s) entered her car parked outside
585 Ridgewood Boulevard, Belpre and stole a fourteen karat
gold necklace and diamond pendant. This case remains under
investigation (712).

Michael J. Babcock, age 31, 470 Cornerville
Road, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve three days in
jail on 29 Aug 08.
Robert C. Burgett, age 30, 45145 Stock Township 233, Summerfield,
OH, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 3
Sep 08.
Terry A. Clifton, age 34, 6466 Germantown Road, Lower Salem,
for failing to appear for pretrial on 16 Sep 08.
Andrew J. Cordell, age 28, 9040 Stoneburner Road, Crooksville,
OH, for failing to appear for pretrial on 16 Sep 08.
Shane M. Spurlock, age 22, 2955 Ackley Road, Coolville, for
driving under a suspended license on 24 Aug 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Felicia Christine Jackson, age 27, 726 ½ Third
Street Apt. B, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested
at the Locker Room by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 Sep 08 at 2:58 am.
Joseph Lee Slider, age 18, 1535 Braun Road,
Belpre, for theft, a felony. Slider was arrested at his residence
by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Sep 08 at 1:10 pm.
Brian Keith Bunting, age 52, Marietta, for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor.
Bunting was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Thomas of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Sep 08 at 9:15 pm.
