On 9 Sep 08 Brenda E. Parsons, age 39, 1500
State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported her brother and roommate,
Barry E. Thrasher, age 39, was highly intoxicated and struck
her several times with his fists and elbows. Ms. Parsons said
her brother was upset with her about the way she was doing
laundry and fell to the floor during the course of their argument.
Falling to the floor as well, Ms. Parsons’ eye was swollen
from the blows her brother landed while she was on the floor.
In consequence, Mr. Thrasher, who admitted he “may have
thrown a punch or two” was arrested for domestic violence
and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 9 Sep 08 Steven B. Pinkerman, age 40, 3011
Barth Road, Marietta, reported his 1999 Harley Davidson was
stolen from his garage between 4 am and 8 pm that day. This
case remains under investigation (1106).
On 9 Sep 08 Betty J. Coda, age 49, 3011 Barth
Road, Belpre, reported she suffered injuries to her hand and
ear after being attacked by her live-in boyfriend Thomas W.
Coe, age 55. Ms. Coda said she was preparing dinner when Mr.
Coe began to argue with her and punched her in the face. Wrestling
Ms. Coda to the floor, Mr. Coe repeatedly struck Ms. Coda until
she wriggled free and escaped to a neighbor’s home. As
a result of the incident, Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Mr.
Coe for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 9 Sep 08 Tammy Lang, age 46, 2915 Plum
Run Road, Waterford, reported she was driving on Main Street
in Waterford when a male driving in another vehicle threatened
to shoot her. Ms. Lang said the suspect, later identified as
Paul Chambers II, age 38, 4550 EJ Ross Lane, Stockport, began
following her and when she stopped to ask him what the problem
was Mr. Chambers cussed at her and reached under his seat in
a motion she believed was him reaching for a gun. Questioned
regarding the incident, Mr. Chambers said he was driving in
front of Ms. Lang when she stopped close to the rear of his
vehicle. He said he turned around to follow Ms. Lang after
a passenger in her vehicle made an obscene gesture at him.
Mr. Chambers stated he confronted Ms. Lang and reached under
his seat where there was a gun but did not retrieve or brandish
it. Based on his investigation, Sgt. Stackpole arrested Mr.
Chambers for carrying a concealed weapon and aggravated menacing
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Richard Jay Reynolds, age 34, 6518 Rhode Island Avenue, Hammond,
IN, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Reynolds
was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep 08 at
4:25 am.
Thomas Wayne Coe, age 55, 3011 Barth Road, Belpre, for domestic
violence, a misdemeanor. Coe was arrested at his residence
by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep
08 at 5:10 am.
Eldon Ray Pierce Jr., age 32, 8 Sixth Street,
Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Pierce was arrested in Belpre
by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep 08 at
5:20 pm.
Paul Dale Chambers II, age 38, 4550 EJ Ross Lane, Stockport,
for a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and for
a misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing. Chambers was arrested
on Muskingum Drive by Sgt. Stackpole of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 9 Sep 08 at 5:35 pm.
Barry Eugene Thrasher, age 39, 1500 State Route 555, Little
Hocking, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Thrasher was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep 08 at 10:40
pm.
