On 6 Sep 08 Heather Howell, age 32, 1170 Tice
Run Road, New Matamoras, reported sometime between midnight
and 6 am her 1986 Ford Thunderbird was stolen from her property.
Though the suspect escaped, the vehicle was later recovered
after the driver crashed it on State Route 260. This case remains
under investigation (897).
On 6 Sep 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a
minor misdemeanor citation to Kyle N. Owens, age 44, 2606 Airport
Road, Bethel, OH, for possession of marijuana. Stopping Mr.
Owens for having a cracked windshield, Deputy Smeeks’ canine
indicating the presence of drugs in Mr. Owens’ vehicle.
The resulting search yielded a plastic baggy containing four
grams of marijuana.
On 6 Sep 08 Fred Hart, age 49, 2650 Braun
Road, Belpre, reported when the tenants vacated his property
at 492 Beach Drive, Belpre, over the weekend they took with
them a refrigerator, range, washer and dryer that he furnished.
This case remains under investigation (586).
On 6 Sep 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Jerry S. Johnston, age 41, 1423 E. Chestnut Street,
Lancaster, OH, for driving under a suspended license and for
improper display of license plates. Deputy Travaglio stopped
Mr. Johnston on State Route 7 near Tower Road in Belpre Township.
On 6 Sep 08 Karlene Milligan, age 38, 19620
Marietta Road, Macksburg, reported she was attempting to change
clothes when her husband David, age 46, burst into the room
and began shouting obscenities. For reasons unknown to her,
Mrs. Milligan said her husband punched her in the stomach and
ribs. Mrs. Milligan wriggled free from her husband’s
grasp and fled, suffering only minor injuries. As a result
of the incident, Deputy Sheriff Thorpe arrested Mr. Milligan
for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 6 Sep 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested
Kenneth A. Myers, age 41, 240 South Central Avenue, Columbus,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, for possession
of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Travaglio
stopped Mr. Myers on State Route 7 near Tower Road on suspicion
on driving under a suspended license. After he took Mr. Myers
into custody Deputy Travaglio searched the vehicle and found
three burnt marijuana joints, loose marijuana and rolling papers.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Garin Matthew Farmer, age 41, 30749 State Route 7, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Farmer
was arrested on Butler Street by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 6 Sep 08 at 12:34 am.
Gary Lee Jackson Jr., age 26, Marietta, for disorderly conduct
by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested on Second
Street in Marietta by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep
08 at 2:19 am.
Brian Thomas McGrail, age 41, 745 Greene Street Apt. D, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, for possession of drugs
and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
McGrail was arrested on Post Street by Patrolman Huffman of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 08 at 3:35 am.
Kenneth Anthony Myers, age 41, 240 South Central Avenue, Columbus,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, for possession
of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for not wearing
a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Myers was arrested on State
Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 08 at 2:52 pm.
Randall Craig Wilson, age 50, 1001 Gilman Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested at his residence
by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 6 Sep 08 at 4:42 pm.
Shane Michael Hardie, age 32, 708 Front Street Apt. 19, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Hardie was arrested at his residence
by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 08 at
5:00 pm.
David Eric Milligan, age 46, 19620 Marietta Road, Macksburg,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Milligan was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Thorpe and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 08 at 5:20 pm.
Brian David Hopkins, age 39, 4405 Sayre Avenue, Parkersburg,
for driving under a suspended license, for having an inoperable
headlight and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Hopkins was arrested on
State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 08 at 11:40 pm.
