On 30 Aug 08 Lt. Huffer issued a citation to Daniel L. McCutcheon, age 43, 10765 State Route 339, Vincent, for traveling 59 mph in a 40 mph zone. Lt. Huffer stopped Mr. McCutcheon on State Route 550 near milepost eleven in Barlow Township.

On 30 Aug 08 two seventeen year old females from Belpre reported being assaulted by a group of females after they exited a ride at the fair. Neither victim suffered serious injury. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 30 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued a citation to Justin B. Cross, age 32, 314 Washington Street, Saint Marys, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio stopped Mr. Cross for having illegal window tint on State Route 7 near Electra Avenue Road in Marietta Township.

On 30 Aug 08 Lt. Huffer issued a citation to Mark W. Heitman, age 41, 454 James Road, Fleming, for traveling 57 mph in a 40 mph zone. Lt. Huffer stopped Mr. Heitman on State Route 550 near milepost eleven in Barlow Township.

On 30 Aug 08 Eugene Lowe, age 53, 451 Eyermann Road, Belpre, reported sometime over the past few days an Olympus digital camera, a pearl necklace, seven oxycodone pills, four hydrocodone pills and ten Plavix pills were stolen from his home. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 30 Aug 08 Lt. Huffer issued a citation to James W. Riley IV, age 27, 804 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, for traveling 55 mph in a 40 mph zone. Lt. Huffer stopped Mr. Riley on State Route 550 near milepost eleven in Barlow Township.

On 30 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested Jean M. Dutko, age 42, 201 Tenth Street, Williamstown, for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel. Deputy Rhodes followed Ms. Dutko as she straddled the dashed white lines on the Putnam Street Bridge and turned onto Front Street without signaling. Detecting an odor of alcohol, Deputy Rhodes administered field sobriety tests on Ms. Dutko. Following her poor performance on the tests, Ms. Dutko was transported to the Washington County Jail where she tested .135 BAC.

On 30 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested Brant W. Masters, age 34, Route 1 Box 151, Waverly, WV, for possession of drugs, for failing to reinstate his operator’s license, for possession of drug paraphernalia, for consuming alcohol in a vehicle and for following too closely. Witnessing Mr. Masters nearly strike another vehicle on Gilman Street, Deputy Travaglio learned from Dispatch that Masters did not have a valid license. During a pat down for weapons Deputy Travaglio located a small folding knife and pipe containing burnt marijuana. Masters stated he smoked marijuana over an hour earlier and threw the beer he was drinking onto the floor when he spotted the patrol car.

On 30 Aug 08 an eighteen year old Lowell resident reported being assaulted by his seventeen year old brother. The victim said a brief argument with his brother ended when his brother punched him two or three times. Interviewed by Deputy Sheriff Anderson, the juvenile stated he drank three beers that evening and admitted punching his brother. Deputy Anderson charged the juvenile with delinquency and transported him to the Washington County Juvenile center at the request of the teenager’s probation officer.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mary Alice Williams, age 28, 308 Sixth Street Apt. C, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 12:02 am.

Freddie Darrell Tackett, age 32, 12800 Havana Road, Garfield Heights, OH, for three misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs. Tackett was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 12:20 am.

Chad Anthony Moore, age 38, 7624 Ridgemont Court, Reynoldsburg, OH, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Moore was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 1:57 am.

Jean Marie Dutko, age 42, 201 10th Street, Williamstown, for .08 breath OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Dutko was arrested at the intersection of Front and Putnam streets by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 3:28 am.

Jeremy William White, age 29, 31 Jacobs Avenue, Chauncey, OH, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. White was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 9:55 am.

Daniel Hendrickson Sr., age 54, 775 Gravel Bank Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hendrickson was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 3:55 pm.

Brant Wendell Masters, age 34, Route 1 Box 151, Waverly, WV, for possession of drugs, for failing to reinstate his operator’s license, for possession of drug paraphernalia, for consuming alcohol in a vehicle and for following too closely, all misdemeanors. Masters was arrested on Gilman Street by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 5:30 pm.

Allen Jones, age 62, 632 Seventh Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Jones was arrested on Seventh Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 08 at 8:40 pm.
