On 29 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued a citation to Willard E. Goff, age 38, 98 Latiner Street, Reedy, WV, for operating an unsafe vehicle. Deputy Lockhart stopped Mr. Goff for pulling a trailer without taillights or turn signal when traveling on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road Belpre Township.

On 29 Aug 08 Michael J. Witort, age 63, 1 S 075 Myrtle Avenue, Oakbrook, IL, reported his vanity license plates, Illinois issued DOCMIKE, were stolen from his vehicle while parked at 206 Walnut Drive, Marietta. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 29 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested Mark A. Roberts, age 40, 207 Edgewood Circle, Ripley, WV, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and having expired license plates. Conducting a traffic stop on Mr. Roberts’ vehicle on US 50 near State Route 555, Deputy Rhodes learned Roberts had an active warrant for his arrest. When taken into custody Mr. Roberts had a bag of marijuana in his possession. A canine called to the scene indicated the presence of drugs in Mr. Roberts’ vehicle, leading Deputy Rhodes to discover a bag with residue that tested positive for cocaine as well as a glass crack pipe.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mark Anthony Roberts, age 40, 207 Edgewood Circle, Ripley, WV, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor charges of domestic violence, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and having expired license plates. Roberts was arrested on State Route 555 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 08 at 9:17 pm.

Jeremy John McFall, age 29, 823 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, for resisting arrest and for squealing his tires, both misdemeanors. McFall was arrested on State Route 7 by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 08 at 9:40 pm.

Chad Eric Heslop, age 29, 80 Railroad Street, Whipple, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Heslop was arrested at Quimby’s by Patrolman Fields of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 08 at 10:47 pm.

Brandin Drew McCoy, age 22, 210 Fifth Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. McCoy was arrested at Quimby’s by Patrolman Fields of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 08 at 11:05 pm.

Scott Michael Zimmerman, age 29, 3929 Watertown Road, Waterford, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Zimmerman was arrested at Quimby’s by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 08 at 11:05 pm.
