On 28 Aug 08 a witness reported finding a
forty-five year old male deceased in his garage in Belpre.
The witness said when she arrived at the victim’s home
she smelled car exhaust and found the victim sitting in his
truck with the garage door closed and the vehicle’s engine
running. No foul play is suspected in the man’s death
(684, 586).
On 28 Aug 08 Lt. Wilson and Deputy Sheriff
Smeeks responded to a domestic dispute at 506 McDonald Road,
Waterford. Timothy King, age 19, was arguing with his mother
over his desire to quit band when he called his mother a derogatory
name. Mark King, age 47, confronted his son over the comment
and a brief shoving match ensued. The fracas and ended when
Timothy punched his father in the face, causing a cut under
his left eye. As a result of Timothy King’s behavior,
Lt. Wilson arrested Timothy for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 28 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to James C. Franklin, age 21, 54 Seminary Street,
Coolville, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Travaglio
stopped Mr. Franklin on State Route 7 near milepost one in
Belpre Township.
On 28 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart requested
a summons for a fourteen year old Newport resident to appear
in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by criminal mischief.
The juvenile admitted placing a flaming paper bag of dog feces
on the doorstep of a home on Harris Street in Newport on 6
Aug 08.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Travis L. Davis, age 21, 1507 36th Street,
Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation by failing
to appear for a scheduled appointment.
Shawn P. Ferris, age 35, 1216 Williamson Avenue Lot C, New
Matamoras, for violating the terms of his probation by failing
to appear to serve forty-nine days in jail and for failing
to appear for a scheduled appointment.
Jason S. O’Donnell, age 27, 1913 Washington Boulevard
Lot A, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation by
failing to appear for a scheduled appointment.
Jonathan E. Porter, age 29, 213 Welch Street, Dennison, OH,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear
for a scheduled appointment.
Jasper J. Thomas, age 23, 2085 Leith Run Road, for violating
the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled
appointment.
Ryan W. Wilson, age 21, 18615 County Road 40, Caldwell, for
violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof
of obtaining a valid operator’s license or to appear
to serve ten days in jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brandon Joseph Robinette, age 24, 1201 County
House Lane Apt. E, Marietta, for violating the terms of his
probation, a misdemeanor. Robinette was arrested at the Locker
Room by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 08
at 2:25 am.
Stephen Eugene Daniels, age 32, PO Box 1294,
Crab Orchard, WV, for OVI, driving under a suspended license
and for failing to maintain assured clear distance, all misdemeanors.
Daniels was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28
Aug 08 at 10:07 am.
John Leonard Clark, age 37, 1685 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Clark was picked up at the Noble
Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 08 at 11:30 am.
Tammy Nichol Johnson, age 33, 111 Strecker Hill, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Johnson
was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 Aug 08 at 7:10 pm.
Christina Rose Hines, age 38, 832 Third Street, Marietta,
for automobile theft, a felony. Hines was arrested at her residence
by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 08
at 10:47 pm.
Timothy Ray King, age 19, 506 McDonald Road, Waterford, for
domestic violence and for violating the terms of his probation,
both misdemeanors. King was arrested at his residence by Lt.
Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 08 at 11:08
pm.
