On 27 Aug 08 an employee of C & C Dodge
Toyota, 1305 Pike Street, Marietta, reported being informed
by the Washington County Title Bureau that a Dodge Charger
the business recently sold was reported stolen in Florida.
Further investigation revealed the auction house in Florida,
from where C & C purchased the vehicle, inadvertently listed
the Charger’s VIN when reporting several other cars stolen
from the business. Therefore Deputy Sheriff Simmons closed
this case as unfounded.
