On 25 Aug 08 a thirty-four year old Vincent resident reported after earlier arguing with her fifteen year old son about his homework she observed around 2:00 am that her son left their residence on his bike. The juvenile was returned home at 1:30 pm, stating he was hungry and that he hated school. Deputy Sheriff Thorpe informed the teenager he could face criminal charges and disciplinary action if this type of behavior continues.

On 25 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio issued a citation to Sommer J. Rose, age 25, 2146 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for operating a vehicle without license plates. Deputy Travaglio stopped Ms. Rose on State Route 60 near Sandhill Road in Marietta Township.

On 25 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio requested a summons for Jeffrey D. Worstell, age 23, 1042 Culver Run Road, Waterford, for criminal damaging. During the course of an argument with his girlfriend, Mr. Worstell repeatedly struck the windshield of a 2003 Chevy Cavalier owned by his girlfriend’s father.

On 25 Aug 08 Linda S. Bradley, age 56, 13140 County Nine Road, New Matamoras, reported three log chains, a Bulova watch and $12 were stolen from her residence while she was incarcerated between 20 Jul and 30 Jul. This case remains under investigation (805).

On 25 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio arrested Anthony J. Wilson Sr., age 32, 306 Colegate Drive, Marietta, for tampering with drugs, consuming alcohol in a vehicle, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation, Mr. Wilson relinquished a tube in his pocket that contained a marijuana roach, marijuana and rolling papers. Prior to his arrival at the Washington County Jail Mr. Wilson also revealed six prescription pills in his under shorts that Poison Control identified as the frequently abused medication Trazadone.

On 25 Aug 08 James O. Sims, age 66, 955 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, reported a neighbor to a property he owns on Darnold Road in Vincent informed him that he observed two white males dumping what appeared to be wire coating on his property. This case remains under investigation (232).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Llewelyn Sherwin Simpson, age 53, 5218 Beattie Ford Road, Charlotte, NC, for operating with an expired license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Simpson was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 08 at 1:22 am.

Nicole Marie Santana, age 22, 4103 Yorkshire Avenue, Parma, OH, for operating with an expired license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Santana was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 08 at 6:45 am.

Daniel Wayne Mackey, age 23, PO Box 12, Thorpe, WV, for a felony charge of escape and for a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property. Mackey was picked up at the Eastern Regional Jail by Corrections Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 08 at 8:30 pm.

Keith Allen Nibert, age 46, 211 Center Street, Waterford, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Nibert was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Hunter of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 08 at 8:47 pm.

Anthony James Wilson Sr., age 32, 306 Colegate Drive, Marietta, for tampering with drugs, consuming alcohol in a vehicle, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested on Starlite Drive by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 08 at 10:00 pm.

Helena Denise Riggs, age 34, 1455 East Branch Road, Lowell, for violating the terms of her probation, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, for failure to appear, for driving under an OVI suspended license and for having an inoperable license plate light, all misdemeanors. Riggs was arrested on Starlite Drive by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 08 at 10:17 pm.
