On 22 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Carr issued a
citation to Nicholas G. Gatz, age 22, 35 ½ West Main
Street, McConnelsville, for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Deputy Carr stopped Mr. Gatz on State Route 60 near Coal Run
Drive in Adams Township.
On 22 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson was dispatched
to the scene of death of an eighty-five year old Belpre resident.
The woman’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.
On 22 Aug 08 Jimmy Brookover, age 45, 186
Main Street Lot 4, Lowell, reported he was lying on the couch
when his wife Goldie, age 47, jumped on top of him and attacked
him. Mr. Brookover said his wife pulled on his ears, repeatedly
struck him in the head and threatened to kill him and burn
their trailer if she went to jail again. Viewing a cut on Mr.
Brookover’s ear, Deputy Sheriff Norman arrested Mrs.
Brookover for domestic violence and transported her to the
Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Clint Alan Apperson, age 21, 535 Wickens Road,
Macksburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Apperson was arrested in Lowell
by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 22 Aug 08 at 12:55 am.
Donald Ray Meador, age 58, PO Box 28, New
Matamoras, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Meador was arrested in New
Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 22 Aug 08 at 10:15 pm.
Nathan Edward Zinser, age 18, 525 Eighth Street,
Marietta, for rape, a felony. Zinser was arrested at the Sheriff’s
Office by Detective Parks and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 22 Aug 08 at 11:08 am.
Goldie Lynn Brookover, age 47, 186 Main Street
Lot 4, Lowell, for violating the terms of her probation and
for domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Brookover was arrested
at her residence by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 22 Aug 08 at 1:48 pm.
Terica Matthew Davis, age 22, 35318 Derry
Lane, Langsville, OH, for driving under a suspended license,
a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested on US 50 near Collins Road
by Deputy Sheriff Thorpe and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 22 Aug 08 at 3:40 pm.
Melissa Dawn Cornell, age 28, 710 Washington
Boulevard Apt. 132, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for disorderly conduct,
both misdemeanors. Cornell was arrested at her residence by
Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 22 Aug 08 at 11:45 pm.
