On 19 Aug 08 the resident of 255 Highland
Ridge Road, Marietta, reported Gary W. Harbison, age 40, 212
Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 14, Marietta, was at her home and
refused to leave without being given a ride home. When Deputy
Sheriff Mankins arrived Mr. Harbison offered to walk home but
was arrested for his safety for disorderly conduct by intoxication
after he tested .169 BAC.
On 19 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Spencer issued
a citation to Gable D. Wright Jr., age 52, 194 Davis Road,
Waterford, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Spencer
stopped Mr. Wright on Blue Knob Road near Gravel Bank Road
in Warren Township.
On 19 Aug 08 an employee of Par Mar #2, 8600
State Route 339, Vincent, reported upon viewing security footage
from 16 Aug, she observed a male customer stealing a pack of
cigarettes. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 19 Aug 08 Ronald E. Selsor, age 47, 2020
Bear Run Road, Newport, reported his son Ronald E. Reed, age
22, struck him in the head then fled the scene. When Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes arrived Mr. Reed had returned to the residence
and stated he was there to face his consequences. Mr. Reed
acknowledged punching his father in the head, saying Mr. Selsor
was intoxicated and making rude comments about him and his
step-mother. As a result, Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. Reed for
domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
On 19 Aug 08 Kimberly L. Yates, age 41, 12675
South 150 East, Draper, UT, reported she believes her purse
and its contents were stolen from her convertible rental car
when she stopped at Turner’s One Stop on the afternoon
of 16 Aug. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 19 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Spencer issued
a citation to Roger P. Loy Jr., age 36, 3002 Milltown Road,
Newport, for operating an unsafe vehicle on the roadway. Deputy
Spencer stopped Mr. Loy for riding an ATV on Dana’s Run
Road near Dana Road in Newport Township. Mr. Loy stated he
drove the ATV back and forth from work to save money on gasoline.
On 19 Aug 08 a Muskingum Township employee
reported finding eight bags of plastic bottles and three couch
cushions near the end of Muskingum River Road. This case remains
under investigation (684).
On 19 Aug 08 Debbie K. Jarrell, age 51, 1200
Lynch Church Road, Marietta, reported she believes a former
resident of her home stole between fifty and sixty DVD’s
from her basement. This case remains under investigation (232).
On 19 Aug 08 the owner of the Misty Blue,
1755 State Route 821, Marietta, reported sometime between 10
pm on 18 Aug and 11:30 am on 19 Aug an unknown suspect(s) broke
a window to enter the bar and stole seven bottles of liquor.
This case remains under investigation (1097).
On 19 Aug 08 the owner of Belpre Sand & Gravel,
320 Cemetery Road, Little Hocking, reported sometime overnight
an unknown suspect entered the business’ gated property
and drove a welding truck to the entry gate. Once the at the
gate the suspect(s) removed nearly 400 feet of welding wire
and a starter, a loss of nearly $2,000. This case remains under
investigation (945).
On 19 Aug 08 a clerk at Byers Exxon, 26960
State Route 7, Marietta, reported a female customer left the
store without paying for a bottle of water and a container
of ice cream she secreted in her purse. Using a license plate
number Deputy Sheriff Eddy located the suspect, Melissa Eisnaugle,
age 25, 392 Pine Street, Davisville, WV, at the residence of
her boyfriend Eric Morris, age 26, 80 Smith Drive, Marietta.
Confronted with her countenance on security footage, Ms. Eisnaugle
confessed to talking the items. Furthermore, Ms. Eisnaugle
said her boyfriend knew she was going to steal the goods and
that she instructed him to distract the clerk while she placed
the items in her purse. Though Mr. Morris vehemently assisting
in perpetrating the theft, the store clerk said Mr. Morris
began talking to her when she attempted to see what Mr. Eisnaugle
was doing. As a result, Deputy Eddy arrested Ms. Eisnaugle
for theft and Mr. Morris for complicity in committing theft
and transported them to the Washington County Jail.

Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 19 Aug 08 at 4:00 am.
Adam Joseph Hadley, age 19, 1200 Lynch Church Road, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Hadley was arrested at Devols Dam by
Sgt. Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 08
at 7:52 am.
Eunice Husband Jr., age 37, 705 Illinois Street,
Decatur, lL, for possession of drugs, a felony. Husband was
picked up in Clarksburg by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 08 at 5:45 pm.
Ronald Ernest Reed, age 22, 2020 Bear Run Road, Newport, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Reed was arrested at his
residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Aug 08 at 11:30 pm.
