On 16 Aug 08 Sgt. Brockmeier and Deputy Sheriff
Mankins responded to 3615 Shay Ridge Road, New Matamoras, in
responses to a domestic violence complaint. The Deputies determined
Justin M. Jones, age 23, was involved in an argument with his
father, age 48, and punched him in the face. Admitted he punched
his father because he got in his face, Justin Jones was arrested
for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County
Jail.
On 16 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Frank E. Maldon, age 29, 4130 Whitebridge Road
NE, Dover, OH, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy
Smeeks stopped Mr. Maldon near milepost four on Interstate
77 in Fearing Township.
On 16 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested
Kyle L. Sparks, age 19, 515 Goose Run Road, Marietta, for possession
of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, for driving under
an FRA suspended license, for not wearing a seat belt, for
having expired plates and for having a defective exhaust. Stopped
on Second Street in Marietta for having a loud exhaust, Mr.
Sparks had an active warrant for his arrest. Taking inventory
of Mr. Sparks’ vehicle before it was towed, Deputy Travaglio
discovered a bag of marijuana and rolling papers.
On 16 Aug 08 Greg Duty, age 31, 121 Pine Drive
Little Hocking, reported when walked out his back porch at
6:45 am he noticed his chocolate Labrador retriever was ailing.
Upon further inspection Mr. Duty found an arrow, believed to
have been shot from a crossbow, sticking out of the dog’s
chest. The dog was still alive but later euthanized by a veterinarian.
This case remains under investigation (1293).
On 16 Aug 08 while on patrol, Deputy Sheriff
Mankins observed that the passenger in a vehicle that exited
Speedway in Belpre was not wearing a seat belt. Conducting
a traffic stop, Deputy Mankins identified the passenger as
Joshua D. Harvey, age 20, 1101 Poplar Street, Belpre. When
questioned regarding his odor of alcohol Mr. Harvey stated
he had been drinking all day. Also issued a citation for not
wearing a seat belt, Mr. Harvey was arrested for underage consumption
of alcohol and transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Frank Charles Lauric Jr., age 37, 251 Culver Run Road, Waterford,
for OVI, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license,
for not wearing a seat belt, endangering children, possession
of drug paraphernalia and for driving outside the marked lanes
of travel, all misdemeanors. Lauric was arrested on Ullman
Street by Patrolman Hunter of the Beverly Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Aug 08
at 4:04 am.
John Wayne Reasoner, age 42, 909 Cisler Lane, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Reasoner was arrested at
his residence by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
16 Aug 08 at 10:53 am.
Kyle Leon Sparks, age 19, 515 Goose Run Road, Marietta, for
possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, for
driving under an FRA suspended license, for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, for not wearing
a seat belt, for having expired plates and for having a defective
exhaust, all misdemeanors. Sparks was arrested at the intersection
of Second and Knox Streets by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Aug 08 at 2:29
pm.
Joshua Dale Harvey, age 20, 1101 Poplar Street, Belpre, for
underage consumption of alcohol and for not wearing a seat
belt, both misdemeanors. Harvey was arrested on Farson Street
in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 16 Aug 08 at 8:50 pm.
Lonnie Duane Dalrymple Jr., age 23, 1308 Williamson Avenue
Apt. 1E, New Matamoras, for disorderly conduct by intoxication
and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors.
Dalrymple was arrested in New Matamoras by Chief Bourne of
the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 16 Aug 08 at 11:35 pm.
