On 9 Aug 08 Kim A. Blinn, age 46, 5585 State
Route 821, Whipple, reported midnight on 8 Aug and 2:30 pm
on 9 Aug 08 an unknown suspect(s) cut the lock off her storage
unit at Reno Rentals on State Route 7 and stole $100 worth
of jewelry. This case remains under investigation (805).
On 9 Aug 08 Colleen V. McGee, age 36, 1234
East Branch Road, Lowell, reported she was traveling toward
Lowell on East Branch Road when she encountered an oncoming
vehicle traveling in her lane. Ms. McGee stopped after the
other driver, identified as Timothy J. Jaeger, age 44, 119
Newsad Road, Waterford, screamed expletives at her. Mr. Jaeger
stopped as well and the two shouted at each other. During the
confrontation Ms. McGee said Mr. Jaeger pushed her and that
she fled in her vehicle because she was afraid Mr. Jaeger would
cause her further harm. Confirming Ms. McGee’s account
with a witness, Deputy Sheriff Anderson arrested Mr. Jaeger
for assault and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 9 Aug 08 Bessie F. Sparling, age 80, 4525
Sparling Road, Waterford, reported two money orders from the
proceeds of her farm were stolen at an unknown time and cashed
on 5 Aug 08. The loss due to the stolen money orders is over
$1,000. This case remains under investigation (1106).
On 9 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Grant M. Bauer, age 19, 127 Sylvan Way, Marietta, for .02 underage
breath OVI. Stopped on Colegate Drive for not using a turn
signal, Mr. Bauer had a slight odor of alcohol. Though he initially
denied consuming alcohol, Mr. Bauer later admitted drinking
two beers at a friend’s home. When transported to the
Washington County Jail Mr. Bauer tested .047 OVI.
VICTIM LIFE FLIGHTED AFTER FALL INTO A RAVINE
On 9 Aug 08 at 0650 the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched
to Remely Road, Cutler, OH concerning Clarence Tullius, age
41, 146 Stone Quarry Road, Fleming, OH. Tullius had fallen
25 to 30 feet from a natural stone bridge into a ravine located
below. Tullius was removed by the Barlow Emergency Squad and
life flighted to Huntington Medical Center by Med Flight. Tullius
is current in stable condition with several fractured bones.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Therese Michelle Pasho, age 44, Route 2 Box 257, New Matamoras,
for failure to appear and for failure to reinstate his operator’s
license, both misdemeanors. Pasho was arrested in New Matamoras
by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 08 at 12:58
am.
Grant Michael Bauer, age 19, 127 Sylvan Way, Marietta, for
.02 breath underage OVI and for failure to signal, both misdemeanors.
Bauer was arrested on Colegate Drive by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 08 at
1:55 am.
Ira David Blair Sr., age 55, 2425 Fifteenmile Creek Road,
Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Blair
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 08 at 9:25
am.
Ruthie Dulcia Scoggan, age 21, 330 Franklin Street, Marietta,
for criminal damaging and for two counts of violating the terms
of her probation, all misdemeanors. Scoggan was arrested on
State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 08 at 4:02 pm.
Timothy Joseph Jaeger, age 44, 119 Newsad Road, Waterford,
for assault, a misdemeanor. Jaeger was arrested at his residence
by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 9 Aug 08 at 9:59 pm.
Randall Lynn Hapney, age 53, 28625 Clark Road, Coolville,
for OVI and for reckless operation, both misdemeanors. Hapney
was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 08 at 11:14
pm.
