On 8 Aug 08 Adam Hadley, age 19, 1200 Lynch
Church Road, Marietta, reported between midnight on 6 Aug and
midnight on 7 Aug his Yamaha ATV may have been stolen from
his property. This case remains open pending the receipt of
information from the lien holder on whether the ATV was repossessed
or not (805).
On 8 Aug 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested
Brent A. Bair, age 24, 18891 Canaan Road, Guysville, for tampering
with drugs, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia,
failure to signal, driving outside the marked lanes of travel
and not wearing a seat belt. Stopping Mr. Bair for committing
traffic violations on Tower Road, Deputy Travaglio noticed
a container of marijuana on the floor in the front seat of
the vehicle. Visibly nervous and shaking, Mr. Bair was also
in possession of a four Xanax pills he said he obtained from
a subject named Dave. A further search of Mr. Bair’s
vehicle also yielded a marijuana pipe.
On 8 Aug 08 Edwin C. Hart, age 49, 200 Mechanic
Street, Macksburg, was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital
after his family found him unconscious and not breathing. Mr.
Hart remains hospitalized following what appears to be an overdose
of pain medication combined with alcohol (805).
On 8 Aug 08 David E. Coe, age 59, 10755 State
Route 555, Cutler, reported an individual visiting his next
door neighbor was loudly revving the engine of his vehicle
and burning out his tires in front of his house. Deputy Sheriff
Anderson warned the suspect, Justin D. Denton, age 26, 3895
State Route 676, Stockport, to cease his actions but responded
to the scene again an hour later. This time Mr. Coe stated
he was inside his home with his family when he heard Mr. Denton
shout obscenities from his car window, burn out and speed off.
As a result of Mr. Denton’s actions Deputy Anderson requested
a summons for Mr. Denton for disorderly conduct.

Office received the following warrants:
Roger D. Clevenger, age 48, 19483 Clifton
Hill Road, Macksburg, for being in possession of an open container
of alcohol while in a vehicle on 25 Jul 08.
Daniel A. Barber, age 21, 91 Sunvalley Drive, Gallipolis,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to make
regular monthly fine payments.
Carl R. Fisher, age 41, 943 12th Avenue Apt. E, Columbus,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show
proof of making $650 to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
David M. Hill, age 29, PO Box 16, Trimble, OH, for violating
the terms of his probation by failing to appear to serve one
day in jail.
Bryan K. Jones, age 21, 28 Plymouth Lane, Erlanger, KY, for
possession of marijuana on 8 Jul 08.
Ronnie E. Kern, age 44, 313 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre,
for violating the terms of his probation by being charged with
three new offenses since being placed on probation in Jul 07.
Chad R. Parsons, age 28, 530 ½ Fourth Street, Marietta,
for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 4 Aug
08.
William P. Riggs, age 45, 4512 N. State Route 376 Apt. 158,
McConnelsville, for violating the terms of his probation by
failing to pay his fines in full by 9 Jul 08.
Seth A. Robinson, age 24, 4570 East Pike, Zanesville, for
failing to appear to serve five days in jail on 4 Aug 08.
Randy C. Tompkins II, age 20, 6705 McMannis Riggs Road, Beverly,
for disorderly conduct and for obstructing official business
on 31 Jul 08.
Christopher M. Wolfe, age 31, 1323 40th Street, Parkersburg,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to pay
his fines in full by 2 Aug 08.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shannon Lee Scholderer, age 33, 38221 Zuspan
Hollow Road, Middleport, for two counts of driving under a
suspended license and for two counts of having expired license
plates, all misdemeanors. Scholderer was arrested on US 50
near Gantsville Road by Deputy Sheriff Thorpe and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 08 at 8:45 am.

a felony charge of tampering with drugs and for misdemeanor
charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia,
failure to signal, driving outside the marked lanes of travel
and not wearing a seat belt. Bair was arrested on Tower Road
in Little Hocking by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 08 at 9:35 am.
Robert Cory Wanzo, age 21, 115 Barber Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Wanzo was arrested
at his residence by Probation Officer Smith and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 08 at 10:55 am.
Kenneth Lee Cunningham, age 41, 65790 Dixon Hill Road, Bellaire,
OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Cunningham
was picked up in Clarksburg, WV by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 08 at 2:15
pm.
Joseph Allen Sunderman, age 31, 808 Dewy Avenue, Saint Marys,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Sunderman was arrested at Wal-Mart
by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 08 at
4:00 pm.
Jason Leroy Williams, age 22, 20 Dye Street Apt. 1, Newport,
for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Williams was arrested on Lord Street by Patrolman Arbaugh of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 08 at 11:12 pm.
