On 5 Aug 08 a Barth Road resident reported
there was an unknown male on her porch asking for her to light
a cigarette. Responding to the scene, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
located a subject matching the suspect’s description
a tenth of a mile from the complainant’s home. When questioned
the suspect, Douglas R. Morris, age 31, 430 ½ Marr Town
Road, Parkersburg, stated he was headed to Parkersburg and
was trying to find a ride. Mr. Morris had a strong odor of
alcohol and provided a breath sample that registered .253 BAC.
As a result of his behavior and inebriety, Mr. Morris was arrested
for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the
Washington County Jail.
On 5 Aug 08 the manager of Par Mar #7, 11785
State Route 7, Marietta, reported when she counted the store’s
deposit from the previous day she found what appeared to be
a counterfeit $100 bill. Identifying the individual who passed
the bill, Lt. Wilson learned the individual was approached
by an unidentified male at Rinks who asked him if he had change
for the bill. While the investigation into the counterfeit
bill’s origin continues, Lt. Wilson determined the man
who passed the bill will not be charged due to the fact he
did not realize the bill was not authentic.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Juan Jabar Richards, age 27, 325 Lynch Church
Road, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Richards was picked up at the
Noble Correctional Institution by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 5 Aug 08 at 9:52 am.
Harry Anthony Schutte III, age 57, 415 Sixth Street Apt. B,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Schutte was arrested on Farson Street by Patrolman Williams
of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 08 at 12:40 pm.
Rusty Joe Carsey, age 26, 1919 Mineral Road, New Marshfield,
OH, for theft, a felony. Carsey was picked up at the Southeastern
Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 08 at 3:17 pm.
Jamie Garfield Linley, age 20, 17111 Millschool Road, Guysville,
OH, for theft, a felony. Linley was picked up at the Southeastern
Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 08 at 3:19 pm.
Jimmy Lee Stepp, age 25, 17250 Millschool Road, Guysville,
OH, for theft, a felony. Stepp was picked up at the Pickaway
Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 08 at 3:27 pm.
Donna Jean Sunderman, age 38, 29160 Belpre Pike Road, Coolville,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Sunderman was picked up at the Athens
County line by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 08 at 10:56 pm.
