On 31 Jul 08 George J. Amos, age 21, 20 Third Avenue, New Matamoras, reported he was camping on his property across from 1453 State Route 260 in New Matamoras when he heard a vehicle stop and thereafter noticed his Stihl weedeater was missing. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 31 Jul 08 Deputy Sheriff Thorpe issued a citation to Sarah M. Welch, age 32, 509 ½ 19th Street, Vienna, for traveling 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Thorpe stopped Ms. Welch on State Route 7 near Bender Road in Warren Township.

On 31 Jul 08 Deputy Sheriff Thorpe issued a citation to David W. Hendershot, age 21, 2211 Rockland Avenue, Belpre, for traveling 73 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Thorpe stopped Mr. Hendershot on State Route 7 near Hanna Road in Warren Township.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Stephen E. Belton, age 36, 2507 Mood Harrison Road, Ridgeway, SC, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $318.50.

Karen L. Brugger, age 55, 108 Colonial Square Apt. D, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,085.80.

James D. Coe, age 24, 80 Washington Square, Williamstown, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $130.

Marcus A. Randle, age 24, 7311 Garden Valley Avenue Apt. 5, Cleveland, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $305.50.

Kristie J. Stewart, age 38, 322 Fisher Lane, Zanesville, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $499.20.

Corey M. Tabler, age 28, 19912 Sandrock Road, Stewart, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $679.90.

Sam G. Wilcoxen, age 30, 109 Hickle Road, Cutler, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $539.50.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

John Matthew Heldman, age 30, 2307 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Heldman was arrested at the Misty Blue by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 08 at 12:20 am.

Craig R. Cole, age 20, 428 Strecker Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Cole was arrested at the Locker Room by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 08 at 3:00 am.

Dallas Eugene McNeely Jr., age 31, PO Box 141, Hewett, WV, for driving under an OVI suspended license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. McNeely was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 08 at 2:55 pm.
