On 30 Jul 08 James Wilcoxen, age 70, 1520
Congress Road, Belpre, reported sometime during the last month
four guns, a riding lawn mower and an old wood stove were stolen
from his property. This case remains under investigation (515).
On 30 Jul 08 a passerby reported a camper
was aflame at 4643 County Nine Road in Newport. The camper,
owned by Richard H. Haught, age 70, 513 Smith Street, Marietta,
was extinguished by the Newport Volunteer Fire Department.
Evidence in this case was forwarded to the Fire Marshall’s
Office for further investigation (232).
On 30 Jul 08 Steven R. Hand III, age 20, 1710
Drag Strip Road, Belpre, reported his 2007 Yamaha ATV was stolen
from his friend’s residence on Drag Strip Road between
8 pm and midnight on 26 Jul. This case remains under investigation
(610).
On 30 Jul 08 Ray N. Waller, age 85, 13991
State Route 339, Watertown, reported his wallet was stolen
after he inadvertently left it on the counter of the Watertown
Store while making a purchase earlier that morning. This case
remains under investigation (712).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Lionel J. Hollingsworth, age 19, 1202 Colonial
Drive, Marietta, for failing to appear for pretrial on 28 Jul
08.
Angelo V. Knox, age 19, 3558 School House Road, Little Hocking,
for failing to appear for pretrial on 29 Jul 08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Thomas Ira Valentine, age 26, 114 Sunset Drive,
Marietta, for theft, resisting arrest and for obstructing official
business, all misdemeanors. Valentine was arrested on Third
Street by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jul 08
at 1:55 am.
Aaron Joseph Streight, age 29, 601 Phillips
Street, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, a felony.
Streight turned himself in to Corrections Officer Sheaves and
was processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jul 08
at 4:00 pm.
Thomas Lee Doty II, age 40, 328 Arch Street, Barnesville,
for falsification and for contempt of a court order, both misdemeanors.
Doty was arrested on the 100 block of Front Street by Patrolman
Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jul 08 at 6:10 pm.
Joshua Don Martin, age 28, 3860 State Route 676, Stockport,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Martin
was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Hunter of the Beverly
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Jul 08 at 11:30 pm.
