On 25 Jul 08 the Reno Fire Department transported a forty-three year old male to Marietta Memorial Hospital after he attempted suicide by ingesting an overdose of the muscle relaxer Soma. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 25 Jul 08 Susan L. Almond, age 68, 230 Reed Road, Marietta, injured her ankle and hip when she jumped from a riding lawn mower when it began to roll while she was mowing her yard. The Newport Fire Department transported Ms. Almond to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment of her minor injuries (610).

On 25 Jul 08 Carl E. Magers, age 68, 570 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, reported sometime after noon on 23 Jul a Blata Thumpster 50 cc motorcycle was stolen from a barn on his property. This case remains under investigation (712).

On 25 Jul 08 a volunteer at the Falls Run Girl Scout Camp, 940 Falls Run Road, Cutler, reported at an unknown time an unknown suspect(s) broke the bottom panel of a storage building and stole two tents, a hatchet, an axe, two buckets and six trowels. The suspects also damaged two instructional signs at the camp. This case remains under investigation (712).

On 25 Jul 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Rocky Hockenberry, age 49, 274 Ridgewood Court Apt. A, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order. Between 21 Jul and 25 Jul Mr. Hockenberry allegedly sent three cards to his nine year old daughter at 4-H camp, an act that is forbidden by a protection order issued by the court.

David S. Armstrong, age 18, 55 Kitts Road, Waterford, for the theft of cigars, candy and energy pills from Par Mar #2 on 2 Jun 08.

Donald E. Bartimus, age 28, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $578.50.

James C. Bartimus, age 35, 906 17th Street, Parkersburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $519.88.

Matthew J. Farmer, age 21, 2018 29th Street NE, Canton, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $904.80.

Bethanna M. Freeland, age 20, 603C Main Street, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $297.70.

Larry D. Haught Jr., age 28, 555 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for assault and criminal damaging on 21 Jul 08.

Zachary L. Kaylor, age 25, 92 Jefferson Drive, Caldwell, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $751.40.

Jerry J. Matthews, age 39, 200 Mechanic Street, Macksburg, for failing to appear to serve his jail term on 23 Jul 08.

Daniel T. Mowrey, age 31, 2437 Marion Avenue, Zanesville, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $140.40.

Dayle R. Sparks, age 19, 192 Mineral Park Lane, Mineral Wells, for failing to appear for pretrial on 21 Jul 08.

April D. Spears, age 28, 45 E. 4th Street Apt. 20, The Plains, for fishing without a license on 28 Jun 08.

Athena T. Stillwagon, age 31, 554 Sand Ridge Road, Waterford, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $233.80.

Jeffrey A. Theiss, age 30, 27130 State Route 7, Marietta, for being in possession of an open container of alcohol while in a vehicle on 16 Jul 08.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Franklin D. Tucker III, age 23, 803 Bellview Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Tucker was arrested near milepost sixteen on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 08 at 2:50 am.

Edward Lee Corney, age 20, 225 Canyon Village Road, Morgantown, WV, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Corney was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 08 at 12:15 pm.

Jeremy Warrior Coleman, age 23, 7188 Dale Road, Stockport, for a felony charge of having a weapon while under disability and for two misdemeanor charges of failure to appear. Coleman was picked up at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 08 at 12:30 pm.

Kevin Wesley Houck, age 25, 1915 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Houck turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Mankins and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 08 at 5:30 pm.

Rocky Allen Hockenberry, age 49, 274 Ridgewood Court Apt. A, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Hockenberry was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 08 at 9:55 pm.
