On 21 Jul 08 a caseworker at Children’s
Services, 204 Davis Avenue, Marietta, reported a respite care
worker may have had a signature forged. The caseworker said
the forged signature was on a form for the hours of a care
for a foster parent in the county. This case remains under
investigation (790).
On 21 Jul 08 Patricia Ontko, age 63, 40 Belavista
Drive, Marietta, reported on either 15 or 16 Jul she believes
a family member took a Visa gift card from her that still had
a balance of $355. The suspect in the case admitted using the
card for personal expenses but claims Ms. Ontko gave the card
to her. This case remains open pending the result of a voice
stress analysis on the suspect (790).
On 21 Jul 08 the owner of Hilltop Auto Wrecking,
975 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported sometime over the past
ten days an unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked warehouse
on the property and removed approximately fifty scrap car and
truck radiators. This case remains under investigation (586).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Jason Lee, age 34, 45 Simmons cove Road,
Vincent, for operating a watercraft without sufficient floatation
devices onboard, a misdemeanor. Lee was arrested at his residence
by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 21 Jul 08 at 12:08 pm.
Justin Michael Moore, age 25, 1515 Centerbend Road, Beverly,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Moore
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Jul 08
at 2:43 pm.
Jonah Timothy Carmichael, age 21, 716 Franklin Avenue Apt.
4, Belpre, for operating with an expired license, speeding
and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Carmichael was arrested near milepost eleven on State Route
7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 21 Jul 08 at 11:30 pm.
