On 18 Jul 08 Dennie Burchett, age 61, 120
Winters Drive, Marietta, reported he was out of town golfing
for the past two days and when he turned he noticed loose change
and his Glock 9 mm were missing from inside his truck. Mr.
Burchett said the truck was unlocked and parked inside his
unlocked garage. This case remains under investigation (790).
On 18 Jul 08 James R. Currey Jr., age 65,
2820 State Route 124, Little Hocking, reported sometime between
midnight and 2 pm an unknown suspect(s) stole four tires with
rally steel wheels from outside his residence. This case remains
under investigation (296).
On 18 Jul 08 Deputy Sheriff Eddy responded
to a residence in Lowell after receiving a report that the
home’s resident intentionally cut her wrist. The Lowell
Volunteer Fire Department also responded and transported the
woman to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Jodie L. Grimes, age 27, 600 ½ Second
Street, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of her probation
by failing to maintain contact with her probation officer.
Fannie S. Kovacs, age 27, 780 Grub Road, Marietta, for failing
to appear for pretrial on 14 Jul 08.
Corey W. Seeger, age 21, 102 Gates Avenue, Marietta, for violating
the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled
appointment and for failing to show proof of completing a driver’s
intervention program.
Joseph L. Uhl, age 49, 681 State Route 821, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof
of obtaining a valid operator’s license.
Justin K. Wendelken, age 19, 123 Blue Spruce Road, Parkersburg,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to maintain
contact with the probation department.
Eric B. Dickinson, age 45, 310 S. Hague Street, Columbus,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on an order to show cause on 7 Jul 08.
Joyce E. Freeman, age 58, 710 Main Street,
New Matamoras, for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate
her vehicle on 21 Jun 08.
James J. Lee, age 34, 45 Simmons Cove Road,
Vincent, for operating a watercraft on the Muskingum River
without having sufficient life
saving devices on board.
Don R. Sams, age 38, 8128 State Route 339, Stewart, for disorderly
conduct by intoxication on 7 Jul 08.
Ruthie D. Scoggans, age 21, 330 Franklin Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for acts of criminal damaging committed on 3 Jul 08.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jorge Munoz Garcia, age 21, Williamstown, for
being an intoxicated pedestrian along a roadway, a misdemeanor.
Garcia was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18
Jul 08 at 5:44 am.
Traci Lea Schwendeman, age 36, 830 ½ Third Street,
Marietta, for a felony charge of using deception to obtain
a dangerous drug and for a misdemeanor charge of possession
of drugs. Schwendeman was arrested on Third Street in Marietta
by Major Warden of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 08
at 1:52 pm.
Michael Dustin Metzler, age 25, 227 Cozy Glen Road, Oak Hill,
OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Metzler was picked up in Athens County
by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Jul 08 at 3:21 pm.
