On 15 Jul 08 Deputy Sheriff Norman investigated
a report that Angela D. Ward, age 43, 3725 Bells Run Road,
Newport, continued to make phone calls to an acquaintance despite
his repeated requests for her to stop. Deputy Norman attempted
to interview Ms. Ward at her residence but was greeted with
an abundance of obscenities and was unable to glean further
information. When she continued to swear and walk away Deputy
Norman arrested Ms. Ward for disorderly conduct. Also charged
with telephone harassment, Ms. Ward was transported to the
Washington County Jail where she continued to be physically
resist officers until she was tasered and placed in a restraint
chair.
On 15 Jul 08 Robert Kornmiller, age 48, 100
Iroquois Drive, Marietta, reported his fiancée’s
son broke a bedroom door and punched a hole in the wall of
their home during a disagreement over his soon to be step-son’s
friends visiting the home. After conferring with his fiancée
Mr. Kornmiller declined to pursue the matter further (500).
On 15 Jul 08 Michael Karcher, age 19, 229
E. Spring Street, Marietta, reported after receiving a phone
call from the Ohio Highway Patrol he determined a relative
took his car without permission. Mr. Karcher said he was driving
Christopher R. Karcher, age 28, 45 Caywood Road, Marietta,
to Lowell when his car broke down. Michael said he caught a
ride to Marietta and that Christopher was to fix the vehicle.
Later that day Michael said a state trooper informed him the
Christopher was stopped in Licking County after buying drugs
in Columbus and that drugs were seized from the vehicle. Consequently,
Deputy Sheriff Norman requested a warrant for Christopher Karcher
for automobile theft.
On 15 Jul 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for being delinquent. Deputy Smeeks’ affidavit
alleges the teenager threw a rock with such force that it broke
a double paned window at 111 Shamrock Drive, Marietta.
On 15 Jul 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Brenton J. Boggs, age 22, 733 Harrison Avenue,
Lancaster, OH, for traveling 74 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy
Staats stopped Mr. Boggs on US 50 near milepost one in Belpre
Township.
On 15 Jul 08 Erika Hall, age 29, 1127 Farson
Street, Belpre, reported she was at her ex-husband’s
residence to pick up her son when her ex-husband’s wife,
Amanda Hall, age 25, 135 First Street, Vincent, slapped her
across the face. When asked about the incident, Amanda admitted
slapping Erika because she was tired of her running her mouth.
Therefore, Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrested Amanda for assault
and transported her to the Washington County Jail.
On 15 Jul 08 Larry Hendershot, age 55, 2230
Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, suffered abrasions, a shoulder injury
and temporarily lost consciousness following an ATV crash on
his property. The Warren Volunteer Fire Department transported
Hendershot to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and
observation.
On 15 Jul 08 the co-owner of Carlton Oil,
38841 State Route 7, Newport, reported she received a phone
call from Dell stating a individual in Florida used the company’s
credit card to purchase two computers. Dell did not ship the
computers and opened an investigation into the fraudulent purchase
(610).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shane Michael Hardie, age 32, 708 Front Street Apt. 9, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for resisting arrest,
both misdemeanors. Hardie was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman
McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jul 08 at 12:13 am.
Angela Diane Ward, age 43, 3725 Bells Run Road, Newport, for
telephone harassment and for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
both misdemeanors. Ward was arrested at her residence by Deputy
Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 15 Jul 08 at 2:07 am.
Mary Louise Delancey, age 44, 407 B Four Mile Creek Road,
Coolville, for driving under a suspended license, for possession
of drug paraphernalia and for failing to properly display his
license plates, all misdemeanors. Delancey was arrested on
State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jul 08 at 5:04 am.
Sherrie Lynn Dotson, age 42, 2117 Rockland
Avenue, Belpre, for theft, a felony. Dotson was picked up in
Marysville by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 15 Jul 08 at 12:55 pm.
Amanda Renee Hall, age 25, 135 First Street, Vincent, for
assault, a misdemeanor. Hall was arrested at her residence
by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 15 Jul 08 at 7:00 pm.
Kimberly Ann Munoz, age 48, 125 Franklin Street, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Munoz was arrested on Pike Street
by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jul 08
at 7:30 pm.
