On 14 Jul 08 Oleta S. Church, age 37, 6053
Federal Road, Little Hocking, reported she was in great distress
following a tirade by her husband Teddy, age 42. Mrs. Church
said her husband punched several holes in the wall, was throwing
things and grabbed her by the face with such force that her
cheeks began to burn. Determining Mrs. Church was in fear for
her safety, Deputy Spencer arrested Mr. Church for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 14 Jul 08 Paul E. McVey, age 76, 4627 State
Route 339, Vincent, reported sometime over the weekend an unknown
suspect(s) cut the padlock off his storage unit at the Veto
storage buildings and stole a chainsaw and small miscellaneous
items. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 14 Jul 08 Carrie Strahler, age 36, 415
McDonald Road, Waterford, reported her brother in law Eric
Strahler, age 28, 471 McDonald Road, damaged her vehicle, pulled
her hair and struck her in the face. With tensions heightened
with her in laws, Ms. Strahler exacerbated the matter by parking
her SUV with the lights shining into her mother laws home and
played the radio at a loud volume. Mr. Strahler confronted
Mrs. Strahler and attempted to break the left headlight. A
struggle ensued shortly thereafter, during which Mr. Stahler
broke the mirror on the driver’s side door and pulled
Mrs. Strahler’s hair. Mr. Strahler did not deny injuring
Mrs. Strahler but said that he was keeping her from entering
her vehicle because she threatened to run over them all. As
a result of his investigation, Deputy Smeeks requested a summons
for Mr. Strahler for criminal mischief and for disorderly conduct.
On 14 Jul 08 an employee of Pioneer City Auto
Parts, 131 Schulteis Lane, Marietta, reported sometime after
3 pm on 12 Jul an unknown suspect(s) cut a fence to access
the property, broke a wood panel door to a storage area and
stole twelve catalytic converters. This case remains under
investigation (592).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jonathan Ray Sindledecker, age 27, 811 Fifth
Street Apt. B, Parkersburg, for possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Sindledecker was
arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Clevenger of the Belpre City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Jul 08 at 12:46 am.
Rodrick Domion Pettis, age 19, 6644 Seahurst
Drive, Columbus, for having a weapon while under disability,
a felony. Pettis was picked up in Franklin County by Deputy
Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 14 Jul 08 at 2:59 pm.
Michelle Rae Oldfield, age 41, 24700 State Route 7 Lot 50,
Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Oldfield was arrested at her
residence by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 08 at 4:50 pm.
Teddy Leon Church, age 42, 6053 Federal Road, Coolville, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Church was arrested at his
residence by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 08 at 8:21 pm.
