On 10 Jul 08 James E. Corder, age 42, 19113
State Route 821, Macksburg, reported he agreed to sell a truck
and various vehicle parts in exchange for payments of $450
and $250. Mr. Corder said the buyer took the vehicle on 7 Jul
and had not yet made the additional payment. This case remains
under investigation (805).
On 10 Jul 08 an employee of American Electric
Power reported sometime since 18 Jun an unknown suspect(s)
cut a hole through the fence at a power substation at 2417
McDonald Road in Vincent and stole approximately 250 feet of
copper braided wire and wire clamps. This case remains under
investigation (592).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Mark Daniel Pierce, age 26, 1007 Long Run
Road, Newport, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Pierce
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jul 08 at 1:33
am.
Gary Aaron Demoss, age 34, 17955 State Route
26, Reno, for violating the terms of a protection order, a
misdemeanor. Demoss was arrested on Elizabeth Street by Patrolman
Fields of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 10 Jul 08 at 10:30 am.
Goldie Lynn Brookover, age 47, 186 Main Street Lot 4, Lowell,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Brookover
was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Perry of the Lowell
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 10 Jul 08 at 10:55 am.
Kenneth Dean Haywiser, age 32, 605 Heathermoor Drive, Weirton,
WV, for OVI and for failing to maintain an assured clear distance,
both misdemeanors. Haywiser was arrested near milepost forty-seven
on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jul 08 at 3:45 pm.
