On 1 Jul 08 Kimberly Brown, age 27, 200 Pennock Drive Lot 63, Beverly, reported she was visiting her sister’s home in Macksburg when she was assaulted by her brother in law. Ms. Brown said she interrupted a dispute between her sister and brother in law when she was pushed and struck in the back of the head. This case remains under investigation (712, 1090).

On 1 Jul 08 the daughter of Darkis Murphy, age 89, 320 Hickman Road, Waterford, reported her mother is currently in a nursing home and that sometime between April and the end of June an unknown suspect entered her mother’s home. Mrs. Murphy’s daughter believes the perpetrator(s) stole a shotgun, a coffee table, a pistol and a jewelry box, all of which are antiques. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 1 Jul 08 Teresa D. Tilton, age 38, 12622 State Route 60, Lowell, reported three weeks ago she was arguing with a friend over her friend potentially driving drunk when her friend assaulted her. After reporting the incident Mrs. Tilton declined to pursue the matter further (610, 684).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Deanna Marie Foreman, age 28, 704 Elm Street Apt. 11, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Foreman was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Clevenger of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 08 at 12:48 am.

David Timothy Close, age 37, 214 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 12, Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Close was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 08 at 8:00 pm.

Donald James Covey, age 34, 300 Alderman Street Apt. 8, Marietta, for aggravated menacing and for obstructing official business, both misdemeanors. Covey was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 08 at 10:19 pm.
