On 30 Jun 08 Charles Atkinson, age 23, 2266
Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, reported when he returned to his
home that evening an acquaintance of his was inside his residence.
The acquaintance, Adam C. Abbott, age 18, 2602 Broad Street,
Parkersburg, and his girlfriend Ashley N. McCray, age 19, 913
Tygart Street, Parkersburg, claimed they entered through an
unlocked door to retrieve a book that Abbott left in the home
three months ago. Mr. Atkinson said neither suspect had permission
to enter the residence and he determined the two removed a
screen and entered the home through a bathroom window. As a
result, Deputy Smeeks requested summonses for Abbott and McCray
for criminal trespassing.
On 30 Jun 08 Sgt. Brockmeier began an investigation
into the theft of items from an unlocked garage and from three
vehicles on Dana’s Run Road in Newport. Stolen items
include a chainsaw, an iPod, various tools, CD’s and
cash.
On 30 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Jason T. Dunn, age 23, 519 Aurora Street, Marietta,
for driving under an OVI suspended license. Deputy Staats stopped
Mr. Dunn at the intersection of Front and Greene Streets in
Marietta.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Donald James Covey, age 34, 300 Alderman Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Covey was arrested at his residence by
Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jun 08 at 12:06
am.
Sarah Elizabeth Wriston, age 21, 11565 State Route 821, Lower
Salem, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Wriston was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff McLeish
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jun 08
at 12:41 am.
David Eric West, age 26, 908 Charles Street, Parkersburg,
for driving under a suspended license, for possession of drugs
and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
West was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30
Jun 08 at 1:44 am.
Dennis Eugene Herndon, age 22, 106 Riley Drive
Apt. 3, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Herndon was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court
by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Jun 08 at 1:38 pm.
Charles Brian Davis, age 33, 145 Turkey Knob Road, Newport,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Davis
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jun 08 at 1:39
pm.
Curt Allen Husk, age 41, 17315 State Route 339, Waterford,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Husk was arrested by
a bail bondman and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 30 Jun 08 at 5:32 pm.
Jamie Lynn Klemtner, age 18, 3015 Old Bryan Drive Apt. 11-2,
Myrtle Beach, SC, for theft, a misdemeanor. Klemtner was arrested
at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
30 Jun 08 at 7:19 pm.
