On 25 Jun 08 the parents of a seventeen year
old Belpre resident reported their daughter left the home without
permission in the early morning hours of 20 Jun. The teenager
phoned from her boyfriend’s home and told her sister
she was not going to return home. Citing a previous incident
of the juvenile leaving home without permission, Deputy Sheriff
Smeeks requested a summons for the teenager to appear in Juvenile
Court for being unruly. The young woman later returned to her
residence on her own volition.
On 25 Jun 08 an employee at New Matamoras
Elementary School, 1000 School Drive, New Matamoras, reported
two windows at the school were broken and that the vandals
tampered with two previously broken windows that had yet to
be repaired. This case remains under investigation (1184).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dana Britton Curry, age 36, 1610 Nash Street,
Parkersburg, for two felony counts of failure to appear and
for a misdemeanor count of contempt for failure to appear at
a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Curry was arrested
in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Jun 08 at 2:20 am.
Joseph Lee Slider, age 18, 515 ½ Beauseaux
Street, Belpre, for burglary, a felony. Slider was arrested
at the Belpre City Police Department by Patrolman Jobes and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jun 08 1:07
pm.
Colton Ryan Balderson, age 19, 17184 Muskingum River Road,
Waterford, for theft, a misdemeanor. Balderson turned himself
in to Deputy Sheriff Mankins and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Jun 08 at 1:42 pm.
Michael David Blind, age 29, 1253 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Blind was picked up at the Morgan county
line by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Jun 08 at 4:17 pm.
Jerry Lee Noble, age 36, 17111 Mill School Road, Guysville,
OH, for theft and for breaking and entering, both felonies.
Noble was picked up at the Pickaway Correctional Institution
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Jun 08 at 5:14 pm.
Mark Kane Schall, age 31, 6995 State Route 329, Guysville,
OH, for breaking and entering and theft, both misdemeanors.
Schall was picked up at the Pickaway Correctional Institution
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Jun 08 at 5:36 pm.
Jimmy Lee Stepp, age 24, 17111 Mill School Road, Guysville,
OH, for breaking and entering and theft, both felonies. Stepp
was picked up at the Pickaway Correctional Institution by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 25 Jun 08 at 5:46 pm.
Jamie Garfield Linley, age 20, 17111 Mill School Road, Guysville,
OH, for breaking and entering and theft, both felonies. Linley
was picked up at the Lancaster Correctional Institution by
Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Jun 08 at 5:59 pm.
