On 22 Jun 08 Earl Bryner, age 67, 1890 Zion
Ridge Road, Marietta, reported around 1 pm that afternoon he
heard a vehicle stop in front of his house and shortly after
the vehicle left his dog began howling. Believing something
to be amiss, Mr. Bryner rushed outside and found three ten
week old puppies missing. This case remains under investigation
(1090).
On 22 Jun 08 an employee of Byer’s Exxon,
26960 State Route 7, Marietta, reported two males were fighting
in the parking lot. Identifying the suspects as Andrew A. Huck,
age 30, 10 Kern Road, Marietta, and Chase Simmons, age 22,
322 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta, Deputy Sheriff Norman determined
the fracas began over comments each made about the other’s
girlfriend. Both suspects admitted taking part in the incident
and were issued citations for disorderly conduct by fighting.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Deborah Kay Mercer, age 52, 111 Strecker Hill, Marietta, for
assault, a misdemeanor. Mercer was arrested at the Ashland
campgrounds by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 22 Jun 08 at 12:30 am.
Cheri Lynn Null, age 40, 23693 Mount Bell Road, Coolville,
for OVI and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Null was arrested
near milepost ten on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22
Jun 08 at 3:25 am.
Jason Carl Wilson, age 29, 82 Dixie Lane, Parkersburg, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested on County House Lane by
Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 22 Jun 08 at 3:40 am.
Seth Thomas Adams, age 23, 997 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for
assault and for two counts of violating the terms of a protection
order, all misdemeanors. Adams was arrested at his residence
by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jun 08
at 12:49 pm.
