On 17 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Andrea K. Lent, age 27, 209 Gibson Street, Marietta,
for operating a vehicle with a registration that expired in
April 2008. Deputy Staats stopped Ms. Lent on Gilman Avenue
near Westview Avenue in Pioneer Township.
On 17 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson issued
a citation to Scott A. Moore, age 35, 4961 Stanleyville Road,
Whipple, for operating a vehicle with license plates that expired
in November 2007. Deputy Anderson stopped Mr. Moore near milepost
two on Highland Ridge Road in Muskingum Township.
On 17 Jun 08 a passerby reported seeing several
street signs on top of a shed on Veto Road in Vincent. A County
Highway Department employee arrived at the location and identified
twenty-two signs as belonging to the county and believed they
were taken from locations in Liberty, Fearing and Salem townships.
This case remains under investigation (712).
On 17 Jun 08 James F. Schwendeman, age 60,
4803 Landchester Road, Cleveland, reported it appears that
approximately three acres of timber was harvested from his
recently deceased father’s property on Schwendeman Hill
Road in Lowell. Mr. Schwendeman said neither he nor his father
had visited the nineteen acre property in over ten years and
the timber appears to have been cut at least that long ago.
Unable to pursue charges due to the expiration of the statute
of limitations, Mr. Schwendeman wanted the incident noted for
estate purposes (712).
On 17 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Mankins was dispatched
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 201 Main Street, Lower
Salem. The victim, Katherine R. Hockenberry, age 31, said last
night she gave her husband Rocky, age 48, the “I love
you but I’m not in love with you” speech and afterward
he snorted a crushed Klonopin pill. Shortly thereafter Mrs.
Edwards stated her husband retrieved a .32 caliber handgun,
pointed it at her, told her to get out of the house and said
if she set foot back on the property he would shoot her. Determining
Mrs. Hockenberry was in fear for her safety, Deputy Mankins
arrested Mr. Hockenberry for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR GROSS SEXUAL IMPOSITION
INVOLVING 12 YEAR OLD GIRL
On 17 Jun 08 the father of a twelve year old reported his
daughter was sexually assaulted while she visited her sister’s
residence on Muskingum River Road in Marietta Saturday night.
Detectives Hiatt and Reynolds learned the girl was sleeping
during the early morning hours on 15 Jun when Bo D. Ladeaux,
age 19, 111 Victory Place, Marietta, entered the room and began
kissing and touching the victim inappropriately. Interviewed
at his residence, Ladeaux initially said he drank three beers
and could not remember the incident but later stated he drank
over twenty beers. Ladeaux further admitted licking the victim
and stated he thought the victim was thirteen or fourteen years
old. Following his confession, Ladeaux was arrested for a third
degree felony charge of gross sexual imposition and transported
to the Washington County Jail. His initial appearance in court
is tomorrow afternoon.

Jennifer Faye Mossor, age 21, 711 ½ Clement
Avenue, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mossor
was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Williams of the
Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Jun 08 at 2:34 pm.
Jason Michael Davis, age 31, 1324 Colonial Drive, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested at
the Marietta City Police Department by Patrolman Hilverding
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 08
at 2:40 pm.
James Russell Mossor, age 22, 711 ½ Clement Avenue,
Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mossor was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
17 Jun 08 at 2:57 pm.
Rocky Allen Hockenberry, age 48, 201 Main Street, Lower Salem,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hockenberry was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 08 at 4:30 pm.
