On 15 Jun 08 James K. Kim, age 38, 3993 Redford
Court, New Albany, OH, was traveling southbound on Interstate
77 when he struck a deer near milepost three. Mr. Kim’s
Honda Odyssey sustained disabling damage; neither Mr. Kim nor
his five passengers suffered injuries (610).
On 15 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats arrested
Timothy T. Kirk, age 21, 244 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 1, Marietta,
for OVI and for failure to register. Stopped for having an
expired registration, Mr. Kirk had an odor of alcohol, bloodshot,
glassy eyes and slurred his speech. Mr. Kirk stated he had
been drinking beer that evening and performed poorly on field
sobriety tests. When transported to the Washington County Jail
Mr. Kirk tested .093 BAC.
On 15 Jun 08 Terry L. McAlarney, age 50, 845
County House Lane, Marietta, reported sometime that evening
the driver of a maroon vehicle backed into the rear of his
Chevy Tahoe that he parked outside the Washington County Home.
Mr. McAlarney’s vehicle sustained light damage; the identity
of the other driver remains unknown (610).

Marietta, for OVI and for failure to register, both misdemeanors.
Kirk was arrested on Fairview Lane by Deputy Sheriff Staats
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jun 08
at 2:20 am.
Erin Brittany Holdsworth, age 25, Route 1 Box 106, Leroy,
WV, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor
charge of permitting an unlicensed driver to operate her vehicle.
Holdsworth was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Chapman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 15 Jun 08 at 9:24 am.
Dale Christopher Smith, age 24, 2750 Loop Drive, Cleveland,
for a felony charge of violating the terms of his parole and
for misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia. Smith was arrested on Pike Street by
Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jun 08 at 1:42
pm.
Clayton Loren Books, age 28, Marietta, for
rape, a felony. Books was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department
and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jun 08 at 10:30
pm.
