On 11 Jun 08 a clerk at Par Mar #2, 8600 State
Route 339, Vincent, reported as a green vehicle was leaving
the business a passenger in the vehicle threw a bottle toward
the store. The bottle fell short, shattered on the sidewalk
and the vehicle fled. This case remains under investigation
(592).
On 11 Jun 08 an employee of Guernsey Scrap
Recycling, 610 Sheets Run Road, Newport, reported when he arrived
at work that morning he noticed evidence of two storage units
being entered. The employee said he is unsure what, if anything
was taken. This case remains under investigation (684).
On 11 Jun 08 a seventeen year old New Matamoras
resident was treated at the Wetzel County Hospital after intentionally
ingesting an overdose of cold medicine. The teenager said she
was not trying to commit suicide and took the pills to get
the attention of her boyfriend.
On 11 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Spencer requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for being delinquent. The teenager’s
father stated his son does not follow house rules, continuously
brings friends home and tries to consume alcohol. Earlier on
this date the juvenile’s father said his son was in his
face cursing and yelling and that he smacked him in the face
to get him under control. The teenager then went out of control
and began pushed him onto a wood pile outside their home.
On 11 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Shyrick J. Raber, age 33, 15 Suzanne Street,
Little Hocking, for traveling 76 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy
Smeeks stopped Ms. Raber on State Route 550 near milepost eight
in Fairfield Township.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Victor Jose Caudillo, age 27, 807 Mitchell Avenue Apt. 3,
Beverly, for being an illegal alien and for a misdemeanor charge
of obstructing official business. Caudillo was arrested in
Beverly by Patrolman Offenberger of the Beverly Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 08
at 1:43 am.
Teresa Denice Tilton, age 38, 12622 State Route 60, Lowell,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Tilton was arrested at
her residence by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Jun 08 at 2:51 am.
Amanda Jo Sampe, age 27, Marietta, for failure
to appear, breach of recognizance and for violating the terms
of her probation, all misdemeanors. Sampe was arrested at Colonial
Terrace by Major Winstanley of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Jun 08 at 1:14 pm.
Sheldon Dwight Hill, age 25, 11827 State Route 555, Cutler,
for theft, a felony. Hill was arrested in Barlow by Sgt. Brockmeier
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 08 at 2:00 pm.
Anna Brook Kline, age 26, 59 Plains Road, The Plains, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines
and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Kline was picked
up in Nelsonville by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 08 at 2:30 pm.
David Allen Newlen, age 47, 310 Main Street, New Matamoras,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Newlen
was arrested on Dode Avenue in New Matamoras by Chief Bourne
of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 08 at 7:45 pm.
Eric Michael Sheppard, age 35, 10693 State Route 550, Vincent,
for domestic violence, a felony. Sheppard turned himself in
to Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Jun 08 at 9:12 pm.
Christopher Dale Reese, age 30, 407 Franklin Street Apt. C,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Reese was arrested
at 809 Front Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 11 Jun 08 at 10:04 pm.
