On 10 Jun 08 Lissa A. Hefner, age 35, 10693
State Route 550, Vincent, reported she was receiving treatment
in the hospital for injuries caused by her live-in boyfriend
Eric M. Sheppard, age 35. Ms. Hefner said she was traveling
in a vehicle with her boyfriend on State Route 7 in Belpre
when an argument began. Stating that she was ungrateful and
ran her mouth too much, Mr. Sheppard backhanded Ms. Hefner
in the mouth. Unable to locate Mr. Sheppard, who may have fled
to West Virginia, Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio requested a warrant
for him for domestic violence.
On 10 Jun 08 Eric Harmon, age 19, 1104 Oak
Hill Road, Cutler, reported he was visiting a friend’s
home when an acquaintance approached him from behind and shocked
him with a stun gun. Mr. Harmon said he stepped away and shocked
again in the chest. Following a brief investigation Mr. Harmon
declined to pursue charges, saying that his assailant was only
joking around and he overreacted (296).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Shana J. Yopp, age 32, 1009 18th Street Apt.
D, Vienna, for failing to appear for a bond hearing and arraignment
on 5 Jun 08.
Brandon Walters, age 25, 715 Greene Street, Marietta, for
failing to appear for a bond hearing and arraignment on 5 Jun
08.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Guy Patrick Renda Jr., age 27, 122 Linwood
Avenue Lot B, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Renda was
arrested at the intersection of Seventh and Wayne Streets in
Marietta by Sgt. Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10
Jun 08 at 11:45 am.
Johnny Ray Sandlin Jr., age 27, PO Box 31, East Enterprise,
IN, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Sandlin was picked up in Scioto County
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Jun 08 at 1:27 pm.
Stephen Chaz Vansickle, age 24, 16040 State Route 550, Fleming,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Vansickle
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jun 08 at 3:30
pm.
Michael Ross Schoonover, age 41, 45699 Ludolph Ridge Road,
New Matamoras, for theft, a felony. Schoonover was arrested
in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jun 08 at 9:16 pm.
