On 9 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a
citation to Zachary P. Downs, age 20, 108 Seventh Street Apt.
A, Marietta, for traveling 76 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy
Staats stopped Mr. Downs near milepost sixteen on State Route
7 in Warren Township.
On 9 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Thorpe issued a
citation to Kevin L. Croston, age 18, 58 Riverview Lane, Marietta,
for operating an unsafe vehicle. Deputy Thorpe stopped Mr.
Croston on US 50 near Farson Street after observing a crack
in the windshield that obstructed Mr. Croston’s view.
On 9 Jun 08 several residents on Broad Street,
Mechanic Street and Harriet Street reported having grease smeared
on various parts of their vehicles. The vehicles were undamaged
but the complainants stated the grease was difficult to clean
off of the headlights, windows, doors and hoods. This case
remains under investigation (945).
On 9 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff Thorpe requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Little Hocking resident
to appear in Juvenile Court for being an unruly runaway. The
teenager’s foster mother stated the youth has run away
before and usually returns a day or two later. On this occasion
she said she last spoke to the juvenile at 4 pm the previous
day.
On 9 Jun 08 an employee of Eastern Electrical
Contractors reported sometime over the weekend an unknown suspect(s)
entered their work site at 450 Oakview Drive, Vincent, and
stole ten, ten foot strands of work lights and a portion of
copper wiring, a total loss of $600. This case remains under
investigation (586).
On 9 Jun 08 a fifteen year old Marietta resident
reported at some point during the last ten days an unknown
suspect(s) shattered the passenger side window of his Honda
Civic and stole an Infinity amplifier and two subwoofers, a
loss of $900. This case remains under investigation (586).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Ray Huey, age 28, PO Box 67, Pleasant
City, OH, for passing bad checks, a felony. Huey was picked
up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff
Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jun
08 at 10:35 am.
Timothy Burl Huey, age 29, 324 Mill Street, Cumberland, OH,
for theft, a felony. Huey was picked up at the Noble Correctional
Institution by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 9 Jun 08 at 10:35 am.
Joseph William Terrell, age 28, 122 Polaris Street, Parkersburg,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Terrell was arrested
at Rinks by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
9 Jun 08 at 11:59 am.
