On 3 Jun 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested
Robert C. Wanzo, age 21, 115 Barber Street, Marietta, for possession
of drugs. Stopped for weaving and not using his turn signal
on Pike Street, a canine indicate the presence of drugs in
Mr. Wanzo’s vehicle. When he searched the vehicle Deputy
Travaglio found a white pill in a cup that Poison Control identified
as Vicodin.
On 3 Jun 08 Sgt. Stackpole investigated an
allegation by a sixteen year old female who stated her father
struck her in the face. Interviewing the involved parties,
Sgt. Stackpole could not substantiate any claim of abuse of
domestic violence or abuse. In fact, the girl’s father
said his daughter was upset that she was forbidden to see her
boyfriend any longer and began yelling and screaming. The teenager’s
father declined to pursue any charges as a result of his daughter’s
actions.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ryan Jason Hebert, age 35, 219 Virginia Street, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hebert
was arrested on Franklin Street in Marietta by Patrolman Wenzel
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 08 at 12:27 am.
Robert Corey Wanzo, age 21, 115 Barber Street, Marietta, for
possession of drugs, a misdemeanor. Wanzo was arrested at KFC
in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 08 at 2:38 am.
Dennis Eugene Herndon III, age 22, 106 Riley
Drive Apt. 3, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Herndon was arrested at his residence by Probation
Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 3 Jun 08 at 11:20 am.
Eddie Allen Merinar, age 36, 714 Walnut Street, Ravenswood,
WV, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer,
a felony. Merinar was picked up at the South Central Regional
Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 3 Jun 08 at 2:35 pm.
Frederick Gale McKitrick, age 26, 3010 Burnett Road, Cutler,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. McKitrick
was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Hamilton
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 08 at
3:25 pm.
